When the JO editor is availeble, I want to make levels and a mod simular to a Half-Life mod called "Day of defeat".

You can choose to either play the Imperials, or the Rebels. Then you have to select you class. Every class has it's own weapon, skills etc. (in DoD it's I.E. Sergeant: machine gun, etc). The levels will be simulat to capture the flag, But then you jsut have to caputre several flags over the enitre level. If you capture em all, you win. Some flags have to be captured with more then 1 person etc. Guns kill almost immediately. Making is realistic. This way you get fast games, where you HAVE TO work together..

any thoughts on this?

There are LOTS of Counter-Strike clones about and none of them, except maybe for Urban Terror, has been very popular. Even Urban Terror has no hope of replacing Counter-Strike.

Why should it be any different for the Day of Defeat clones?

Well I prefer a MOD in which Katarn can pilot ATSTs, ATats, tie fighter or other vehicles like in halo or Operation Flashpoint http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif

You can control a AT-ST in SP, i think you can put a controlable AT-ST in a MP Map.

Someone should look and see if there is anything behind that infamous "fly_xwing" cheat. If there is, it would serve as an excellent base for flying ships. http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif

Imagine this mp mod: you can choose to join Imperials or Rebels at the start of the game (do you know counterstrike?): you start with less powerful weapons at the beginning but fragging enemies you get point to buy weapons with increasing power. In the enemy base there are different keys):if you get them you can go in a hangar in the map and open a door that leads to an atat that now is yours!.Another key taken in a more defended place and you can go to open a new door in the hangar and get a tie fighter and so on..Fragging enemies you can get points so even the people without atats or tie fighter in any case can get weapons that can
damage badly atst and tie fighters (f.i. anti air like "rebelstingers")and in this way the game can be balanced. http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif Imagine this in a map called tattooine desert 8vs8!
Like in t.f.c. and RTWC we can think to specialize in specific tasks: tie fighter-X_wing pilot, atat pilot,
assault stormtrooper,Jedi-Sith Rebel-Imperial Saber-force-Master, officer and so on.

think up something original, don't rip off something and think it's original because the mod you're ripping off is for another game!
