Does anyone know if raven is releasing the source code to JO at the same time as the rest of the tools? And when can we expect them? Within a week?

ps. I'm surprised at the lack of talk about actually coding the game to make mods...

Apparently the MP code will most likely be released, but the SP will most likely not. That's what I've heard, anyway.

I hope they release both. I wanted to convert some of the single player aspects (ICARUS and NPCs) so I can make a coop mod.

You can already edit the ICARUS2 without the SDK.

MP doesn't have ICARUS. And if you want to make a coop mod, you have to convert it over from SP into MP, and that means editing the game code (qvm's).

I'm sure someone will figure out how to fully edit SP eventually, with a 3rd party application. I doubt LEC thought JK editing would get as far as it has, but it has.

It's entirely feasable to write SP stuff right now, but not unless you're willing to rewrite all of SP.

The only similarity between cogging and coding/scripting for JK2 is that the syntax is C based. It uses an entirely different engine after all :P

Cogging was fun anyways. I used to be a JK hacker. *evil grin*
