View Full Version : Really good multiplayer team work mod idea.....

Ok well me and a friend had a really good idea for a multiplayer mod in the mould of games like CS and DoD. We are sick of all the FFA games where everyone blasts each other with no real fun content: so we present "Ground Assault", a mod idea.

Basically, there are two teams. One Imperial, one Rebel. No lightsabers http://forums.massassi.net/html/redface.gif. Instead, players are soldiers including stormtroopers, mercenaries, wookiees http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif and commandos. The idea is that either the Imperials or Rebels attack a place and the other team defends - maybe including interactive maps ie when the Imperials storm the outside of the building, they win and then proceed to the next map inside the same building. The damage system will be realistic ie one or two shots from a stormtrooper rifle will kill, and there will be such devices as IR stormtrooper helmet vision, and the wookiee "pick up and throw a guy" attack.
Now, we're looking for some guys to give us a hand. Whats needed is:
1. Modelling - practically all the guys need skins. However, there are no saber anims etc needed.
2. Modding generally - how to put in IR etc.
3. Mapping - we want good maps including Tatooine Mos eisley, Kashyyyk and Hoth.....

Anyway if anyones interested please email me at avengerlead@hotmail.com. Thanks.

it's a good concept for a mod. There is already another project out there doing the same, but you can always try to do it better. I might give you a hand at coding, once the sdk is out. i suck at modeling and levelediting, though...

That sounds pretty good, it reminds me of siege mode in T2 (siege mode is the only mode I play). I can help code too, once the sdk comes out
