Greetings from the Military... almost

Antestarr here. I know I don't post much in the discussion forum (yeah, I'm one of those ISB freaks), but for the first time in the past 6 weeks I've been able to get online. As some of you know, I enlisted to join the USAF, and have been in basic military training for what's felt like an eternity. I'm still amazed at how much you can get yelled at for not folding a shirt into a 6" square. Anyway, for Thanksgiving, they've allowed me to be picked up by a random San Antonio family to enjoy some time off and a nice meal. And this family has a huge house, a Benz, a Suburban, and two Vipers.

Anyway, I'm just posting to say I've survived so far and that my graduation ceremony is tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll get another chance to hit the internet sometime on Sunday (maybe even on a computer with IM so I can chat with some of my friends [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]).

See y'all on the other side.

Go figure, the moment I try to "not be on the internet" and "focus on school" the virtual party breaks out. Thanks for pointing this thread out Ford.

Let me be the first person to congradulate you... uh... wait. Crap. Let me be the nth person to congradulate you... Seriously though, you having made it this far makes me proud to have you as a friend, and I can only hope to rise to the level of disipline I am sure you now have obtained.

Anywhos, while I'm sure you don't have much time to surf around the Internet, I'll do what I can to fill you in on what you've missed, with easy-fun clickies included.

First off, while Ford did mention how your presense is much needed to finish our Estate sessions (your character was very cool, and most likely you alone can do justice to role-playing it), Ford forgot to mention that he set up an EZboard account for the Estate in hopes of organizing a first-person horror adventure mod-thing. You can find the message board here:

http://pub59.ezboard.com/btheestate

It currently holding our previous sessions and some conceptual work Ford and I have done, and otherwise collecting dust [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

In other news, NeSquared has finally been started!

http://forums.massassi.net/html/Forum7/HTML/000468.html

Well, it's sort of started. It's been progressing slowly, due in large I'm sure because the 1999th reply still hasn't been completed. Poor Krig has been picking up for most of my slack these days. However, Highemperor has started a very cool substory which is at least on par with the NeS TACC substory. It's called "NeShattered" and you can find it here:

http://forums.massassi.net/html/Forum7/HTML/000469.html

So far only he and TLTE have been contributing to it, but it's still very cool and has potential for many a Castlevania references [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

Also, while I know there are an innumerable amount of webcomics you could be catching up on, I feel you should know that Dominic Deegan has been moved to a Keenspot account. You can find it here:

http://www.dominic-deegan.com/

The webcomic links, including our own, have been taken down in the revision of his website, so if we wish to be mentioned again, we have to send him some fan art. Hopefully I can complete that guest strip after the semester is over.

Other than that, there's little else I think that can be covered, internet wise at least. I finally got a Gamecube (with the Zelda classic stuff) but I won't be using it until Christmas. School has been keeping me rather busy (as implied before). In short, Brian is now running Massassi again as well.

I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting, but oh well. Keep us posted on your status: where you'll be stationed after graduation, if you'll be visiting us in Maryland over the holidays, how many hot women you have to fend off with a stick daily... I'll do what I can to inform other people, including linking this thread over at the ISB.

Until next time then, stay frosty.

Blast. Looks like I, too, missed the Ante. Ah well, if you're somehow reading this, all I have to say is... For the love of all that is holy please come back! Geb has me chained up in a basement, where I am forced to toil endlessly at NeS's final post! He only feeds me moldy Cheerios and Mountain Dew! We need you back!

That is all.

*sniffle* It's like a little piece of the ISB on the Main Discussion forum...

And What's this about a final post? Isn't the fun of a Never Ending Story that it's... never ending? Maybe I'm just missing something... After all, I have only made like... 5 posts on that thread ever...

Well, it was more of a technical problem than an actual ending.

The thread is getting extreamly slow, due to its extreme size. Thus, Geb decided to end the thread. It is not the end of the story though, for even the movie had a sequel. NeSquared is the continuation of the final NeS post. A sequel, if you will.

There might be more to it that I don't know, but that is how I understand it.

Good to see all the people responding to this. Anyway, I'm not gonna be able to get internet in my dorm room (unless I get a cell phone and find a way to network those...), but I set up an acct. at this internet stand on base, and it's 10 cents a minute, but I figure I'll use this a fair bit... At least in the evenings. Especially once I actually get free time before 8pm...

And ten cents a minute? Crap. I'd be spending a normal salary on that kind of rate. I think... wasn't ever good at math...

Hi Ante, good to hear from you. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

I suggest, when reading NeS, you save it onto a floppy and read it later on your comp, so it doesn't cost you $$$.
