TJC - Total Jedi Conversion

Anyway, I thought instead of everyone going off and doing their own mods, why don't we all work together to make one large mod that will totally kick

Now, I haven't had a chance to fiddle around with JO to see what editing is like, but I mostly just see this patch being like the BFP for JK. I'm thinking about adding mostly just MP skins and maybe some new sabers if thats possible.

Anyway, since JO is primarily revolving around the lightsaber and such, I thought the first skin pack to come out should be that with Sith/Jedi. I've made up a rough list of characters to add, which I'm hoping to add to. (Hopefully mods won't be too big byte size so we can fit a lot into one mod) Anyway, heres my rough draft list:

Jedi:

Mace Windu
Obi-wan Kenobi
Plo Koon
Corran Horn
Yoda (hehehe, if its possible)


Dark Jedi/Sith:

Darth Sidious
Darth Maul
Darth Vader
Emperor Palpatine
Exar Kun

Anyway, I kinda shortened the list, cuz I don't know how big this mod would be with the Quake3. Anyway, if you guys would like to add anymore or think some should be removed, just say so.

Anyway, I'm thinking that it would be at best to try to start this now, so... If you feel up to it, inform me what character you would like to make and I'll assign it to you. Hopefully this will turn out to be pretty cool

I don't think this will work, because the reason everyone goes and does their seperate mods because they all have their seperate ideas. Go ahead and try though. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Personally I would love to see a yoda mod because yoda is the bomb
I'm not a very good moder right now but if anyone would like to teach me what they can about skins and stuff I would be glad to make him :Þ

Anyway, SoulBlazer43, that'd be great if your up to it. Maybe if you want to give Plo Koon a try to, don't think many people will do him (or even know who he is) and do a good job.

as it happened with JK soon after release, so it happens again: the newbies think we should make lots of TCs and the old-skewl gamers say "all TCs are doomed to failure" (i'm of the latter group =)

That STILL happens with JK.

But, it is very flattering to see so many doomed TCs named after me.

as I understood this, the author wants to create a skinpack like BFP...
Now where's the problem? Just wait some time, then ask the authors of the great models that have popped up since if you are allowed to put them all into one single download, et voilà.
BTW, you can't just convert JK models to JO. And a Yoda model would be very possible. And I even think it should be easier to do than in JK, because animations should be alot easier to make than JK .keys...
