ok, i got the two saber files done (glow and line), i got the .shader file set up, what else do i need to do to be able to select my custom saber in the menu?

You can't ADD sabers to the game. You have to replace an existing one. And even then the color or the blur when you swing the saber is the color of the origional saber.

I think I found the saber trails file or at least part of it maybe. Try it:

No those are just the colors for the saber. You can't change the color of the blur until the sdk is released

Try going into the menu folder... somewhere in there there are some saber images that look just like the menu images that you use so select the color saber you want. check it out.

I dunno, when I open it it looks awfully like a saber trail...

That's interesting, Raptor...because there was just a mod released that changed the glow from the standard color, to flame. Check it out, it's on JKii.net if massassi doesn't have it.

Anyway, I'm not sure how he did it where everyone else is concerned, perhaps we can convince him to release a tutorial?

Its not hard, you just edit the blurcore.jpg and blurglow.jpg to your new trail. edit the blue_line.jpg (or any other colour. eg, yellow_line.jpg) for a new blade core. and edit the blue_glow2.jpg (or any other colour. eg, yellow_glow2.jpg) for a new glow around the core.
