No, it's the scene later in the movie, at the wedding, when Lancelot kills all the guests and the bride's father is lying wounded on the floor.

Anyway, who else is going to Ozzfest?

past years have been a bunch of talentless bands anyways, so with SoaD it wouldn't be any better or worse.

Wrong, it's

"A newt?"
"... Well, I got better."

Actually, it's a running gag in the movie. It happens 3 times (the old man, Sir Lancalot's servant, and the bride's father).

Ok I have no idea about the situation over in the US, but here in Australia a rock festival ticket will set you back $100, and you're likely to see at least 3 bands (hopefully a lot more) you enjoy. A ticket to a single band's gig costs anywhere from $50-80, so $100 to see 3+ is really good value.

That still costs $100. Maybe not to you, but $100 is a lot to lay down.

Heh, I'm a poor student with car payments, Wofly. Once or twice a year, though, I can justify $100 for a memorable day out [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Especially since the most of the bands I like are from Britain, so them touring down here might only happen once or twice during their careers.

Here's the lineup for Ozzfest 2004!

Ozzy (I'm assuming only if he's still alive)
Judas Priest
Slayer
Dimmu Borgir
Superjoint Ritual
Black Label Society
Slipnot
Hatebreed
Lamb of God
Atreyu
Bleeding Through
Lacuna Coil
Every Time I Die
Unearth
God Forbid

AND, the tour starts in my area! July 10 - Hartford (3 hour drive), July 12 - Boston (1 1/2 hour drive). <<Me skips in fashion unbefitting someone going to Ozzfest>>.
2004-02-20, 5:07 PM #23
Ozzfest isn't expensive, I only dropped 30 dollars when I went...

I don't think it's a big deal to drop a couple hundred bucks for Ozzfest (when you total up all the expenses). It's like getting a bunch of concerts for the price of a slightly expensive one. I don't think of $90 as being an exorbitant price for a concert ticket. I think I wound up paying like $80-$90 to go see Linkin Park, and that's only like one well-known band.
2004-02-20, 9:54 PM #28
It is when you can get into the local radio station festival that has just as many bands for $30.

Peh, I've only heard of 5 of those bands (and they aren't neccesarily good). Someone let me know when they get better bands an I might go.

Wasn't that when one of the SoaD or Metallica members fell or got injured or something, because the stage like exploded or something.

Yes it's a big deal to spend more than 10$ on a crap concert.

For 25$ i could've gone and see 4 major bands in Montreal, Hypocrisy, Children Of Bodom, Nevermore and Dimmu Borgir. Twice.

Your ozzfest is full of rubbish bands, (except Dimmu Borgir, Slayer and BLS) like the ever-persisting popularity concert it ever was.

Only worthwhile set would be slayer's , but after seeing them once live, I don't feel like paying double the price I once paid to see them again, but with more people around
(Paid 45$ to see In Flames, Soulfly(yuck) and Slayer). Also, I fail to see how entertaining Linkin Park could ever be on stage, there's hardly anything energetic about them.

i dont go to festivals for the bands, the music makes up about 20% of festival fun, individual gigs lose a lot.

Not great???
The Flaming Lips, Wilco, The Pixies, Atmosphere, and The Cure NOT GREAT????
And I mentioned Radiohead, foo!

A lot of coachella's bands are ones that I've been meaning to listen to, I admit. There are a few I haven't heard of though, that I'm interested in.
