Plasma Pong!

Give this game a try. It's like pong, except the ball follows the flow of this tripply plasma, which you control...there's a short learning curve, but it's quite fun. The sandbox mode, too.

I'm confused as to how 30kbs qualifies as a "Quick Download".

I keep dieing because in the heath of battle I often move my mouse out of the game window, thus loosing focus of the window and no longer being able to move at all. Not fun.

You'd think problems like this would be noticed during betatesting.

Interesting concept though.

...?

Are you running it outside fullscreen mode or something stupid? It works perfectly fine.

Wow. I've been playing it for a while and it is a totally KICKASS game! Try turning the velocity lines on... it makes the game much easier to get the hang of. And it looks damn cool once you get to about level 20+. Wow... this game is just.. really fun.

played it for a good 5 minutes and i still dont get it, all i see is bright colours i can shoot, with random explosions, then the ball goes where it wants.

Go into sandbox mode, press the button that says velocity lines, then press escape and start a new game. With the velocity lines, you'll be able to see that you do in fact have way more control than you think over the ball with your plasma.

It's what a person from 1965 would see when they played pong.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Get better drivers then, cause I run dual monitors and have absolutely no problems with it. :p

Possibly the greatest game since Tripple Triad.

If this had online multiplayer, I think I'd pay for it. Yup. I would. It's honestly THAT good.

RR bursts transmission, so I started the download at about 1MB/s, then slowly crept down. So it finished within a couple seconds for me :)

oooh! reminds me, something I've been meaning to ask for a while: does everyone remember 3d pong? I was wondering if they ever managed to make a two player version... cos that would be like, totally awesome. (dude)

After playing a game or two, the sound likes to go out on me. Anyone else have that problem?

The music is actually E.S. Posthumus - Pompeii

I dunno how long they'll get away with distributing licensed music, but >.>

Like alpha said, try replacing "battle_loop.mp3" in the sounds folder with other stuff. A lot of OC Remixes work quite well :D Ones I've found that are pretty good are Thrash the Plank, Black Magic Synthesis, and Ocarina Boogie. Current highest is level 23.
