I've never played it, but I've read that it's one of the best BF1942 mods out there

It's a cool mod to play around with, but I find it pretty crap to play as everything is mega-powerful. Also on some maps, one side has a rediculous advantage over the other.

It's very addictive, but also frustrating. I felt ripped off after playing BF1942 but Desert Combat made up for it.

Great as it is, there are still days when I feel like breaking the CD!

Some things I like doing are:
1. Sneaking up and stealing enemy choppers.
2. Circling an enemy base in the Hercules while my gunners blast it to hell.
3. Hitting aircraft with stingers.
4. Rescuing teammates in the choppers.
5. Flying jets upside down at low level.
6. Using the SAM and cruise missile.

At LAN Wars, we had a tournement of DC that we won. Great stuff.

I love DC, but in a way I kinda like EoD better. Something about running around in a jungle whilst fighting the Viet Cong has always appealed to me.

DC is awesome. The download is not.

Have they got around to adding version upgrade patches yet?

Yeah, EOD was fun while it lasted. Charly Doesnt Surf and Que Son Valley are fun chopper maps, and Langson is a great jungle map. But poor EOD was doomed from the start. I can't wait for Battlefield Vietnam! Flying vehicles around with choppers will keep me busy.

BTW, the DC team has said they aren't making a smaller update patch. You have to use the full 544mb patch.

Bleh, that sucks. Even if I had cable having to download that much with each update would annoy me.

A friend I know in person is a beta tester. Perhaps you know him. I'm not familiar with any of his aliases, but his real name is Zorin, if he's mentioned it, you might know him. But I'm not sure if you as a texture artist have much interaction with the beta team.
