JED/ZED crashing
2009-01-17, 12:40 PM #1
ZED is thowing exception errors while making 3do's. I thought it might be my install of ZED so I opened up JED and I had the same problems. I'm running Windows Vista. My graphic drivers are up to date. Has anyone ran to this issue?

A little more detail on the problem would be nice...

I've never had any issues with ZED. Give me a little more info and I'll see what I can do :)

I've tried all of the other 3D setting combination. This is like the type of errors I use to get when making a stupid cleave. Except I wasn't cleaving anything this time.

Looks like the work around is to switch the wireframe editor mode to software.

Tools -> Options

'Environment' tab

'Wireframe view using'

(then the options listed are)
(o) Software
( ) OpenGL

Now that I think about it, I've had this problem before but it was years ago. Odd, that it hasn't been resolved with ZED.

Heh, OpenGL on Vista (I assume you have an Nvidia video card) seems to be messed up when it comes to ZED.

And JK, well, don't get me started.

  1. No, it's an Intel Mobile video card
  2. I've had this problem on other computers as well. Though I think all of those had Intel video cards as well.

Oh, well that's a change lol

Anyway, glad you got it sorted out :)
