Steam Release Celebration Level Contest Mega Thread
2009-09-24, 1:04 PM #1
http://forums.massassi.net/vb3/showthread.php?t=55456

All entrants are required to post screenshots in this thread. Share or else. Ya hear?

All in one thread, or just post samples here? Merging everyone's showcase threads seems like a bad idea.

Can I use a level I worked on and never released? I have things I'd like included in the pack, but I don't care if I win any prize (i.e. have them exempt from winning?)

Maybe we should just accept whatever, and let the voting process take care of it if we think someone 'cheated'.
2009-09-24, 1:42 PM #4
Well, in my case, it's work that I have showcased before, it is obvious that I'd be "cheating." I'd like my work included in the pack, but I don't care if I "win."

I'm fine with people using previous work. It's not a big deal.

I assumed the number of submissions would be small enough that the 'pack' would include all of them, not just the 'winners'.

A level for any game??? Hmmm...

I'll be attempting this, assuming I can get Jedi Knight to run and re-learn JED while juggling a job and school at the same time.

Look how well my level is shaping up! I'm practically guaranteed to win! :suicide:
Whatever. It's going to get better.

I may not be an experienced editor but I'm sure to roundly win the prestigious category of "most octogons per hallway".

My expertise at level editing is no more advanced than constructing a m X n X o sized box.

I should submit that.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Now may space windows have glass. And I copied Alran! Sort of. I'm finding texturing really difficult.

Gris: I'll PM you when I get a bit closer if you want to lend me some cogs. I had planned to use PlayerAction for mini conversation trees...is that how yours work, and are they for MotS?
