Just a question to satisfy my curiousity. It took quite a while to figure out these stupid textures were causing the problems. When you use any of the color textures on a 3d0 (00ramp1.mat,00ramp2.mat,00red.mat ect), and you get close to the sector the thing is in, JK crashes. Why is that?

I can't remember the details, but there's an issue with single color 8-bit mats on 3do's when ran in 3D Acceleration mode. You can convert them to 16-bit and it'll stop crashing.

Make sure you have the flag set for single color mat in the texture flags on any surface with a single color mat.

This. Select the texture, press enter to bring up the item editor, double click surface flags and check the right box.

Surfaces Geo must be 3 if using color mats.

We finally got someone in here who knows what he is talking about :) I remember there was *something* you had to do but yeah, it's definitely the geo.
