I raided my cupboards for ingredients earlier and ended up making some awesome Chili Con Carne. Here's a shot mid-simmer.

I've been really into stir frys this summer. They're so easy and so amazingly good. Jalapenos are an integral component of mine; my fridge is always full of peppers.

I'd say definitely leave the corn starch out and only put half as much curry in it as it says.

I tried to make bacon wrapped scallops. They turned out pretty good! The girlfriend said she liked them even though she is not a fan of scallops.

The sauce splashed on the plate is (don't laugh!) HP Steak Sauce and Worcestershire Sauce.

Here's dinner from a couple of weeks ago: broiled chicken breast marinated in italian dressing and lemonade mix, spinich-stuffed mushrooms (with some parmesan), and the roasted veggies (again) which is red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, purple onion, squash, zucchini, and maybe orange bell pepper. I've used it a few times, but don't know if I did on that one.

We were lazy last night and ordered some Italian food. Last meal I made was my mom's chili recipe with ground turkey instead of beef. So simple and so delicious!

I have a habit of taking pictures of my meals and sending them to my father- it's a nice way to keep in touch and start conversation I guess. Anyway, now that you know why I have tons of pictures of food on my phone- I'll just post some things I've made in the past week or so.
