I know you're kidding but part of the reason Obama's speech has been delayed is they're very worried of retaliation strikes immediately after the announcement, so they're making sure everyone is prepared.

Yeah it's probably smart to prepare for retaliations, but I think it's a bit naive to think that us killing him is a big deal one way or another. It doesn't get us any closer to our goals, and any attacks that come "in retaliation" would probably have come with just as much fervor anyway, now they just get to claim it's retaliation for something specific.

Always appreciative to be a part of big events in history. Very good speech. Can't wait to hear more about the details about the operation. Obviously glad the world is rid of someone like Bin Laden.

I think it's important to note that just as ignorant as a lot of people are about these wars thinking that it's all about Bin Laden, this event symbolically could have a lot of meaning as well because of that ignorance. People will think this bigger than it actually is, but I'm fine with that.

Celebrating the death of someone? Maybe in some way it's dehumanizing, but if it's about bringing proper justice to him, there was no way that'd happen. He'd kill himself before capture, so assassination wasn't uncalled for. Besides, a significant number of people have family or friends who were lost because of that man. It's not any different than celebrating the death of Hitler, even if communism didn't die with it.

No, it's an attack on an active threat to all civilized nations. Killing Osama Bin Laden is a major symbolic blow to all terrorist organizations everywhere. It deserves to be celebrated.

No, a successful troll requires well-developed social skills in order to identify statements which will cause a high level of annoyance. Socially-retarded people would be so ineffective at trolling that it would be impossible to distinguish them from background noise.
