It's been a rough several days. My girlfriend's dad passed away on Saturday. He had been terminally ill with COPD (among other things) for over 10 years. Just over a week ago, he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer (from a mix of things). On Saturday, my girlfriend's mom called to say that he had only a few hours left to live. We rushed to get ready and get there (it's a bit over an hour drive). We managed to get there before he passed away.

It's been really hard for my girlfriend and her mom. Her mom and dad had been married almost 33 years. My girlfriend identified so much with her dad. He was only 53 at the time. It's a relief that he's no longer suffering (no matter what you believe), but it's still tough on those left living.

The funeral is Wednesday. I'm asking for those famous Massassi vibes, thoughts, and prayers. They could use them. Just so you know this is a little more genuine, this is probably the woman I end up marrying, so please, be generous with those Massassi vibes.
