Nervous, first internship interview, Massassi Vibes?
2013-01-06, 8:31 PM #1
I'm being flown to New Mexico tomorrow, where I'll have an interview with the national lab there on Tuesday. First time flying alone, staying in hotel alone, in a city I've never been in, blah blah blah.

It's also my first real internship interview (five interviews in one day actulaly :gbk:), and I'm pretty nervous about that. Might be behavioral, might be technical, I don't know exactly what all they're going to pull out. I'm really pumped for this though; I feel that all of the money being invested into flying a college kid out, housing him, and feeding him has to mean something, at least. I'd really like to work there as I've seen good reviews of internships there with solid pay, and the work looks like it would be interesting too.

So...can I get some Massassi vibes for everything going on in the next 48 hours?
I had a blog. It sucked.

Not sure at this point. I just got out of the interview, and the place seemed like an excellent medium between the two. There's a solid amount of research which goes on, and the research segment publishes, but there's still a lot of engineering which goes on as well outside of the research depending on what interests you.

Just got back from the interviews, seems like it went really well. Five candidates, but they don't know how many they're hiring. I feel like I have a good shot; everyone seemed optimistic, one woman said that she had a good feeling about my application after talking. Should hear back by the end of January. Thanks everyone
