I've been hearing some good things about Titanfall, and this trailer is pretty slick, so check it out! Let's talk about it.

No single-player.

I really don't mind, considering Battlefield and Call of Duty's single player feels tacked on and ancillary (not necessarily poorly made, or effortless though), to me. These multiplayer shooters should focus on what they are really and not worry about single player narrative, but instead the kinds of stories I'm going to tell about the game. That said, am I the only one who really likes persistent worlds in shooters (Planetside, or TF2's soldier vs demoman event for example) that give more weight and story to each battle? I like games in games now adays, such as the more short-term investment of gun-game in shooters. I've always preferred CTF over deathmatch because of the narrative that develops in the one.

I think it's pretty clear you're not the only one ;).

I think that we can agree that "No SP Campaign" is not a real, valid point of criticism anymore. It's just a multiplayer video game. That being said, it's of course fine to like single payer games more and not buy this because it isn't one.

Also, Koobs, I'm glad to see a simultaneous PC release...

I might look into this more when release gets closer, but I saw the teaser a couple weeks ago and like the idea of futuristic BBF/CoD meets Mechwarrior.

Eh. I think it's fair game to criticize a game like battlefield that doesn't provide bots.

I've been playing 2013's Shadow Warrior recently. Fun like hell, if hell would be fun.

Cheesy one-liners, vicious dismemberment, cool gunplay, skill & upgrade system, smooth FPS, no crashes.
Good game if you like Serious Sam / Painkiller style shooters.

Koobie, in my opinion you are a valued member of Massassi but I tend to skip your posts when you write them like that.

tracer i dont think he's doing that on purpose

i have a valid point as to why CM should just change it back so his posts appear as default: while the text is "writing itself out", any video attachment he has in his post just strobes black and white until the text is done. let's not have any seizures here folks

Even though I'm sort of apathetic with playing games these days (my current goal is to play through Mass Effect 1 by the end of the year, who knows what I'm gonna do after that) but the 1997 Shadow Warrior game is definitely one of my all-time favourites. The first 45 minutes of the new one haven't fully convinced me yet but I guess I'll give it another shot at some point. *shrug*

Windows 8.1 magically fixed my 'Mass Effect' so I'll probably be doing the same. However, it appears to have broken 'Faster Than Light' (the game that I play the most) & 'Aliens vs. Predator' (2010) after I was finally able to cope with the PTSD that it induced. Granted, these could all be coincidences, but they all occured immediately after upgrading from 8-8.1. **** me, amirite?
? :)

The Windows 8 part in that sentence seems to account for everything you mentioned.

I think CM should have it automatically translate whatever Koobie posts from English into whatever-his-native-language.

Trust me, this was discussed. Unfortunately, mass language translation is not free.

It's not, it's on a per-million characters basis, and I believe there's a cap.
