Anyone here have one? Looks like it would be great for emulation. And apparently DosBox Turbo supports Jedi Knight...

You mean the original Dark Forces?

Because JKDF2 requires Win95 as well. I know that people have run Win95 thru DosBox but I can't imagine DosBox + Win95 + remapping the controls would result in a desirable JKDF2 experience.

Edit: Oh I see apparently some people have tried it. Well I can't see buying a Shield for that, but I'd be interested to hear how well it works.
My favorite JKDF2 h4x:

MANIPULATOR GUN
EAH SMOOTH SNIPER

Don't really see the point in it. It's way too bulky (larger than both the PS Vita and 3DS), and it's only major claim to fame is the streaming gameplay that works over wifi only.

Frankly, I'd just stick with my phone and if I want better controls I'll slap a PS3 controller under it.

It's a fun little toy if you want to add some flexibility to your gaming PC. Streaming works pretty well, and I've played through a lot of Arkham Origins, a little Skyrim, and just started Dishonored on it. Emulators work too, but honestly I wouldn't buy it for emulators alone. $300 is too much for just a little portable emulator machine. If you've got some spare cash to throw around though, it's kind of nice being able to play PC games anywhere in your house.

300 dollars for emu is too much when you can buy a PSP for 40 on ebay

How well does the PSP emulate N64 and PSX?

My Shield came in yesterday. Haven't had a ton of time to mess with it yet, but so far it's run everything I've thrown at it on both systems, and the controls feel great.

Haven't tried Dosbox yet.

The PSP emulates the PS1 essentially perfectly for most games, as it has official emulation for it.

N64 is basically awful, but then again, it's awful on everything. Desktop emulators are only just now starting to approach decently accurate emulation without insane levels of hacks.

UltraHLE didn't work on too many games, but I remember it being a lot better than modern N64 emulators are.

Project64 is almost on par with uHLE (finally)

If you're implying that Project64 is actually good now, lol.

Project64's latest release is actually worse in many regards to the ancient 1.x series. TASers refuse to use it.
