So this thread would be to answer some common, or uncommon if wished, questions about any character you feel like answering for. I'd say the answers don't have to be 100% definate, but the idea is that maybe we'll get to know the characters ever so slightly better by asking these questions. This isn't like the character sheet, which contains important questions and answers - these questions are a little less necessary to the story and may, simply, add a bit of understanding to our people.

Trap / House music

2. What turns them on sexually?

No, they require too much patience. She may go so far as fish, but nothing more time-consuming than that.

Practical

Character - Gebohq

1. Favourite music genre?

Answer: Pop rock and roll from at least a decade or three behind the times, sprinkled with American country/folk music.

2. What turns them on sexually?

Answer: A mix of confidence and (perceived) interest.

3. Do they appreciate modern art and why?

Answer: Modern art confuses him, though he can appreciate that at least some of it can be effective, even if he doesn't always understand it.

4. Do they like pets and why?

Answer: He enjoys most pets, though as of this time, hasn't wanted one enough to get one of his own. Pets are to him the sort of thing that could help both a hero's quest and a villain's mission, not so much a long-term companion.

5. What's their favourite sport?

Answer: Track. Possibly dodgeball.

6. Are they fashionable?

Answer: No, not terribly. He's prone to "everyman" sort of attire. At best, he's professional. At worst, he's tacky.

7. What's their favourite food?

Answer: Doughnuts. He'd say otherwise, and be hard-pressed to come up with a better answer. Story conventions have hit him hard.

8. What's their learning style? Writing, Listening or practical application?

Answer: Practical.

9. What would have been their favourite school subject?

Answer: World history, if any.

10. Do they tend to read and what do they read?

Answer: Mildly, and when he does, the subjects are sporadic and more often for academic study (law, ludic and narrative theory, basket weaving, etc.) than entertainment.[/QUOTE]

Since this character has recently passed away, I figured I'd take a stab at the example quiz questions with the following:

Arkng Thand

1. Favourite music genre?
A now-dead genre resembling a mix of ancient middle/far-eastern strings and ancient african percussion popular circa approx. 12,000 B.C.E. when it was popularized in Atlantis. While not a genre, his favorite 'music' would have been his wife's lullabies to their children.

2. What turns them on sexually?
Since he considers all of humanity his children, apart from his wife, and possibly his age, he wouldn't have much that resembles a sex drive. Given the appropriate situation, though, he'd likely be particularly turned on by intelligence and/or some level of exotic qualities relative to him.

3. Do they appreciate modern art and why?
Relative to the rest of the arts, he appreciates modern art as an attempt for humanity to experiment and challenge. Personally, he tends to favor the more traditional arts out of sheer statistical probability.

4. Do they like pets and why?
There was a time very early in his life when he loved pets of all types. In the present day, he's found his need for solitude to include a lack of pets, though he'd be harder-pressed to say whether he still likes or dislikes pets; likely mixed feelings.

5. What's their favourite sport?
Specifically, marathon racing with weight lifting a close second. Generally, any sport that exemplifies the human spirit.

6. Are they fashionable?
While certainly capable of being fashionable, Thand's fashion sense is best described as "old-fashioned" in the best sense, though sometimes, he's known to wear what convention dictates. Ultimately, Thand considers fashion a means to an end.

7. What's their favourite food?
He's nostalgic for rare-cooked mammoth steak alongside a type of roti bread and red wine that he's not had since his last time about 4,000 B.C.E. In the present day, he's found Ben and Jerry's Cookies and Cream to be one of the more acceptable contemporary foods worthwhile.

8. What's their learning style? Writing, Listening or practical application?
Writing, which he arguably introduced /as/ a learning style.

9. What would have been their favourite school subject?
Philosophy, or science on a more basic level.

10. Do they tend to read and what do they read?
Yes, a lot, and while covering a lot, Thand tends to gravitate to academic philosophies, sciences, and of course, whatever seems to relate to NeS.

I did Geb, but I think I'll see if Evil G has any differences too...

Evil G

1. Favourite music genre?
While he still has a soft spot for certain outdated pop rock and the sprinkle of American country/folk-style songs, his preferred styles tend to now lean towards heavy metal, alternative rock, punk rock, and of course, classically-evil choir music. Nightwish would be an ideal band for him.

2. What turns them on sexually?
While confidence still plays a factor, Evil G also has found the "forbidden fruit" angle to be a particular turn-on.

3. Do they appreciate modern art and why?
He's found an appreciation for modern art when it accentuates an evil hallway of his. He still finds it confusing, and he revels in his confusion (to both his benefit and detriment)

4. Do they like pets and why?
He finds pets generally annoying and cut into the "evil" image he tries to cultivate. Still, he's yet to be able to bring himself to kick puppies like he (and Geb) once did back in the 80s

5. What's their favourite sport?
Dodgeball, possibly track.

6. Are they fashionable?
Evil G often tries to be fashionable in a way that comes off as a card-carrying villain or otherwise evil guy. Sometimes, he succeeds in an aspiring amateur manner, and often times, he fails in a spectacularly tacky manner. Lots of black and grey for sure.

7. What's their favourite food?
Anything crunchy and messy. If he could eat burnt bacon that somehow spewed carpet-staining juices all over the place, he would.

8. What's their learning style? Writing, Listening or practical application?
Practical.

9. What would have been their favourite school subject?
Still world history, if any.

10. Do they tend to read and what do they read?
Since becoming "Evil G", he had done what he can to absorb a lot of various scholarly and occult/esoteric tomes to further his villainous wit, from The Art of War to organic chemistry to the Necronomicon and the like. His reading these days has been more sporadic both in quantity and content, from James Joyce to the gaudiest tabloid in the grocery aisle.

Some more characters, since doing this is relatively easy!

LOSIEN
1. Favourite music genre?
Like her brother, she generally likes American country, and like the evil version of her brother, she enjoys punk rock.

2. What turns them on sexually?
Generally something or someone 'bad', whether it's being sneaky in a Laundromat, experimenting in something taboo even against her general orientation, or falling for a villainous ex-spy. It's not a turn-on she's proud of, though. Like her brother, she at least used to be turned on by perceived interest as well.

3. Do they appreciate modern art and why?
Yes, because in general she likes all sorts of art. For a lot of her life, it was partly because she enjoyed seeing the beauty in things she didn't see in herself, and now she appreciates the forms on its own terms. She's no art aficionado, though, and generally takes more interest in the "local" arts & crafts than any larger art movements.

4. Do they like pets and why?
Who doesn't like cute baby animals? For some time, she didn't feel comfortable owning a pet because she was self-conscious about taking care of it, though these days, she's given it some thought with a whole new set of concerns about living a hero life.

5. What's their favourite sport?
She's generally not one for sports; fishing is the closest 'sport' she's taken any significant interest in. She took some interest in track when she watched her brother's involvement, but she personally prefers hiking over running.

6. Are they fashionable?
Maybe in an old-fashion American 1950s-1970s sort of way. Before taking her brother's place as Main Character, she generally wore more revealing and/or suggestive outfits out of a lack of self-confidence. Currently, she's attempted to emulate her brother in small part with at least her color scheme, and still trying to balance practicality with her own growing confidence in her style.

7. What's their favourite food?
Cheese and crackers. At the very least, she finds it good comfort food.

8. What's their learning style? Writing, Listening or practical application?
While she identifies in part with her brother's practical application style of learning, her leanings as a teacher have made her more comfortable with listening.

9. What would have been their favourite school subject?
Arts & Crafts, where she feels she had the opportunity for self-expression. Relatively speaking, in any case -- school in general probably has left her with mixed feelings, since she's likely to have experienced significant criticism both academically and in peer social situations. She enjoys teaching arts & crafts the most as well.

10. Do they tend to read and what do they read?
As a teacher, she's read her fair share of education-related materials, including (developmental) psychology (something she wanted to know in application to herself too). She's also read her fair share of beauty magazines and the like. She also enjoys reading children's books, inspirational biographies, and war stories (even an espionage tale every now and then). When she was younger, she once read the whole Christian Bible as well, something her brother never did (or pressured to do).

AL CIAO

1. Favourite music genre?

He still has a soft spot for epic orchestral/choral arrangements, which he used for various types of theme music during his tenure as Highemperor. He also enjoys classical. New music is a bit of a mystery to him.

2. What turns them on sexually?

Fertility, apparently :P Though I'm looking to tone this down/remove it for NeS3D.

3. Do they appreciate modern art and why?

As long as it's OOOH SHINY, he appreciates it, no matter what kind of art it is. If it ain't OOH SHINY, though, you can forget it.

4. Do they like pets and why?

Horses, if those count. He had several as a prince and king of Armenia in his youth.

5. What's their favourite sport?

Archery! Though he sucks at it now.

6. Are they fashionable?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

7. What's their favourite food?

Donuts, like Geb. Apparently it's contagious.

8. What's their learning style? Writing, Listening or practical application?

Probably a bit of both listening and practical application

9. What would have been their favourite school subject?

Sex ed. Best opportunity to make perverted jokes!

10. Do they tend to read and what do they read?

He's too busy being active, silly, and/or perverted to read.

I figure I'd add a couple based on Nahda and Ttocks. So first...

NAHDA
1. Favourite music genre?
While Nahda doesn't "like" or "dislike" any particular music with the sort of attachment others might have, he generally favors acapella/vocals only folk or prayer songs, particularly in a vein not unlike bhajans he may have heard from his own people prior even to the Omega Reich's reign. If not of a humble/uninstrumented nature, he'd be drawn to music such as Corridors of Time from Chrono Trigger.

2. What turns them on sexually?
Teasing. In his early life, Nahda dealt with this in a relatively healthy manner, eventually with his betrothed. When she no longer was around and after the formation of the Coordination, Nahda vowed celibacy in his path towards Nothing, though at least initially, he struggled particularly in this aspect, "testing" himself in fairly perverse ways to ensure not having "lustful thoughts." He seems to have been successful enough at least to not having sired any children (that he at least knows of), and these days, he seems to have actually largely succeeded in purging himself of no longer having sexual thoughts, or at least not acting upon them as he once did.

3. Do they appreciate modern art and why?
He appreciates any art he feels further evokes the values of the Coordination and/or Nothingism, and while he doesn't like or dislike it in ways others may grow attachment towards, he finds certain modern art either as sometimes similar to the aesthetics of the Omega Reich (ex. brutal minimalism) or more often as a reminder of the "unapproved" styles the Omega Reich banned (ex. Surrealism)

4. Do they like pets and why?
Yes, though generally because he considers "pets" as sentient beings. On one hand, he'd consider most any "pet" as an equal at least in how they should be (humanely) treated, so the only "pets" he'd care for he'd care as a free person. On the other hand, in part of his views of Nothingism, he might come off detached in matters of animal control, though he'd probably hold similar views to "people control" (when not conflicting with his non-complementary behavior).

5. What's their favourite sport?
While Nahda wouldn't be one to participate in sports himself, or be attached to sporting events, he'd be the sort to like football (soccer) as it's a largely non-hierarchical team sport that is easily accessible to any class of people.

6. Are they fashionable?
Not really, no. When he's not wearing his traditional attire of his faith, he's likely wearing very simple, boring and dull clothing.

7. What's their favourite food?
Again, while he no longer has "favorites" in the sense of attachment to preferences, Nahda once enjoyed radishes, and while he only now largely eats vegan-type meals (rice, roti bread, goat's milk with consent from the goat, etc.), if eating at all, his "favorite" is generally any "humble meal" offered to him.

8. What's their learning style? Writing, Listening or practical application?
Pre-Omega Reich, most of his learning came from tutors who pontificated to him. Currently, through countless ages of doing his best to listen to people, he generally learns best from listening.

9. What would have been their favourite school subject?
While Nahda had been nudged in studies of politics and business pre-Omega Reich's reign, Nahda generally favored literature -- reading, though, far over writing.

10. Do they tend to read and what do they read?
In his early days, literature gave him an escape from the "suffering" in the world, allowing him at first to escape his sheltered life, then to "search" for stories of why suffering occurs. Since the formation of the Coordination, and to this day, he reads any stories he can to help him understand the "paths" of other peoples, and also feels (often fictional) stories help him "see the truth" more clearly. While religious texts appeal to him, he reads any texts he feels may challenge his thoughts.

And now...

TTOCKS
1. Favourite music genre?
While Ttocks technically both "loves" and "hates" any and all music, he generally favors epic instrumental scores and operas akin to Beethoven or Wagner. In public, he professed love for only music made by other Henryians, though in private, his collection would include those made by Devatans and other "sub-races." Generally, the more "impressive" the music, the better for him.

2. What turns them on sexually?
Submissiveness. While technically everything both turns him on and off (at least in private), Ttocks generally favors women, and those that aren't smart or challenging his power. Should they have power he feels he can manipulate, though, he'll be drawn to that -- he's "turned on" by the power he can gain, not that his partner has the power. In public, Ttocks generally portrays an image of unattainability, and of a heterosexual orientation, condemning anything not "healthy Henryian" at the time.

3. Do they appreciate modern art and why?
He appreciates modern art only as far as it serves the glory of him and the Omega Reich. While the Reich imagery was often "modern" in style, he generally favored his own people's "Henryian" traditional representational art, even so far as to favor his own (often uninspired) art. He otherwise loves and hates modern art.

4. Do they like pets and why?
Yes, particularly Henryian Shepards (like German Shepards). He finds their unwavering loyalty something he can depend on, and may be one of the few living things Ttocks actually truly (humanely) cares for. He otherwise both loves and hates pets.

5. What's their favourite sport?
While Ttocks technically loves and hates all sports, he's particularly drawn to Clawball, a Henryian sport not unlike Handball with elements of (American) Football, Ice Hockey, and Rugby. During the Omega Reich reign, Ttocks encouraged "Ultimate Clawball" which amped up the violence of the game in often lethal levels (at least when competing against non-Henyian teams, with favor to the Henryians).

6. Are they fashionable?
Yes. At the very least, he dons "men were men" 1930s-40s style outfits, and often in ways to exude power.

7. What's their favourite food?
While Ttocks technically loves and hates all food, and at least publically eats only "true Henryian dishes", Ttocks seems to enjoy eggs the most. Perhaps this is due to his surprisingly vegetarian-like diet (a diet that he considered "for the strong" in any case, if not truly vegetarian), or perhaps he felt foods like eggs were akin to eating the young.

8. What's their learning style? Writing, Listening or practical application?
Likely practical.

9. What would have been their favourite school subject?
Henryian -- specifically the Alpha Reich -- history. Any Henryian field would have been his favorite though, such as arts and particular sciences and maths "discovered" by Henryian people.

10. Do they tend to read and what do they read?
In his early days, when he actually needed to "read" at all, he'd have read his share of historical texts, war tactics, eldritch tomes... anything he thoughts would gain him power. At a certain point, though, reading was no longer necessary for him (or "best" for him) and thus would have only read texts such as Alpha Reich accounts as a "personal thing" or perhaps in the rare case where information could ONLY be "read" instead of magically absorbed for whatever reason.
