I've been pwned on two websites and I didn't even realize. I am in the habit of reusing passwords. Time to make some changes!

Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.
No, but Linkedin has been.
Yes but I dont care
Come at me internet
Twice, apparently. Both on occasions when I was quickly made aware that a hax had been made so I changed my passwords and everything quickly.
Then again, how do I know this site isn't a scam that just added my search parameters in the "HAX THESE THE NEXT TIME" list? Oy.
I couldn't tell as I use on almost every site I login a unique email address.
Sorry for the lousy German
I've been pwned on LinkedIn. But I've changed the pw awhile ago.
I don't like LinkedIn, and I find it as a waste of time and effort. I should just use it as a Tinder clone.

Three different sites have had breaches where I had accounts. One is old enough that it should be using an old password, other two should have unique passwords, and if not they're also using the same older password (I use neither of them anymore anyway, which is probably bad to have those accounts around regardless).
So long as a few specific services I use aren't compromised (all of which also include 2-factor authentication and a unique password) I'm not too concerned. Anything which contains sensitive information is behind a unique password and 2-factor auth.
What's really frustrating is I have an identity protection service (thanks for losing my person data, US gov't) through the OPM, and it set limits on how long (as in max length) my password could be and what characters my password could contain (as in, couldn't punctuation aside from period). What the **** is that about? Isn't that exactly counter-productive to what the service is designed to combat?

I had a blog. It sucked.
I realized it was safer to just have a text file with all of my passwords on my desktop than to reuse passwords on websites. My email was accessed because I used the same password for it as I did on a forum. Really stupid but hindsight is 20/20.
Yeah, I've been fully aware of how dumb it is and just taken my chances for convenience anyway.

Funny. Only one breach with my username and similar gmail is Stratfor being targeted five years ago. Then again, the very nature of Stratfor probably screams "Come at me internet".

What's a strat for?
Disposable email & local password manager FTW. Either way, we're all inevitably ****ed, unless reading Future Crimes has made me paranoid.

Hah, internet crime.
Someone at the company I work for physically stole the entirety of our payroll data and leaked it onto the internet. It had pretty much all of my details bar my fingerprints.
He's in prison now.
I'll probably find my data in the Yahoo hack. https://it.slashdot.org/story/16/09/...tm_medium=feed
Which is actually great news, I forgot my password and now can finally get it back!
Sorry for the lousy German
I realized I haven't used Yahoo.com since I was in the 7th grade looking for SNES ROMs and how to use ZSNES. And ROMs for the NESticle

Strangely Yahoo couldn't find a way to profit from their captive audience of people whose kids set their browser homepage to yahoo.com in 1998 and can't figure out how to change it to google.
I created a new account on yahoo mail last night. It's probably been 10 years since I've tried it. I was somewhat shocked at how much they're aping the UX of Gmail.
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.
So you felt sorry for them that they got hacked and so are showing your support by making a new account?
I like that the account that has been compromised the most is my old @oscempire.net email address and ALL OF THEM are gaming websites from 10+ years ago.
