Posters, paintings, less easy-to-define works of art that one typically hangs on the walls -- I could use them on my walls (now that I'll soon be owning the place I'm living in) and could use some suggestions. At this point, I'm looking at game-themed stuff, which I'll post what I've considered every now and then on this thread, though that's just a starting point for me. So please, post what you can, either with stuff you already own or stuff you think would look nice.

To start, a couple from the game "Okami":

Video game wall art? Just hang up a sign that reads "Welcome to the Virginarium."

Alternatively, my favorite painting is "Office in a Small City" by Ed Hopper.

My house has little on the walls. What is present is mostly family photos, generic wrought iron stuff, or football related decor.

All of my wall art is alternate movie posters, like this:

I'm pretty sure I introduced GBK to Mondo posters, btw...

Nothing but white walls for me*. I don't think my landowner would even allow me to put any posters up. Not that I really have any aside from some assorted musician/band/film/Soviet ones.

* = They didn't use to be white, though...

What do you think NFL decor would stand for, saberopus?

Yeah, I had to do the whole spiel myself since Kroko thought it was a reference to something and that's not kosher with him. Go figure.

GBK, that's pretty cool! My dad's a huge movie buff -- are those alternate versions official (but alternate as in not as popular, prototyped/etc.) or are they fan-made? Can you provide a link?

Keeping on with the list, here's a couple from Journey (not all my current list is of this nature):

Regarding Okami wall art, unless you have played the game there isn't really anything to set it apart from a somewhat-higher-brow Shinto watercolor. You can't really say the same thing about a 49'ers pennant.

I would consider hanging Okami wall art, and I'm not even that into the game.

I don't think there's much of a correlation these days. One could still put up that sign, though. Not many people have that sign.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

fwiw, I don't see a lot of gamers memorizing developer statistics or playing make believe studio owner. All seems pretty effin dorky to me, but that's none of my business.

I meant to say before that I did like the composition of the artwork Steven posted.

A couple related to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker:

They're mostly produced for small theaters that have done recent showings of classic films.

Yeah, fantasy football is a tabletop RPG. Period.

It baffled me that we're somehow having this conversation about how videogames are nerdy and football is totally awesome, but then I remembered that Steven is involved.

Note: I am a massive football fan. That detracts nothing from the fact that football fans are some of the goofiest ************s on earth.

The point is that the average football fan is sad and weird in ways that gamers rarely exhibit. Gamers might have a swat team kick your door in. Football fans constantly get into fights, particularly bay area fans, which leave people seriously injured. Tailgates are bastions of self destructive behavior of all sorts. They're being entertained by a bunch of guys smashing their heads together often enough that most of them will have serious mental health problems later in life, if they don't already. They sit in stadiums that taxpayers willingly furnish for the billionaire owners of the teams, pay $12 for a Bud Light, treat some players like they have supernatural abilities, and constantly complain that players are overpaid when only a miniscule percentage of people on earth are capable of these skills, not to mention the physical conditioning needed to play at this level.

Case in point: Football fans will tell you things like "Tom Brady sucks," when that's an empirically untrue statement. They'll also talk **** on any number of clearly excellent players and teams, because being a football fan completely relieves you of your capacity for rational thought, much like any other sport fandom. Football fans are just a cut above because they're generally all of the worst people in America. They're largely uneducated, racist as hell, and somehow believe that things were better 30 years ago despite there being absolutely nothing to support that stance.

Basically, football fans are the sports world's equivalent to Republicans.

The only thing football has that's better than gaming is exercise; except, you know, minus the whole minor brain lesions thing.

Just go on a jog.

Now that I think about it, I did have a video game poster. I used to have this poster in the spare room/office at my previous residence. My wife found it distasteful, so it was relegated to an out-of-the-way area. Sadly, it was damaged during our move a few years ago and I threw it away.

Hah, I like it.

I have framed Star Wars and Star Trek posters (Or, er, one of each), but there's no where to hang them. I also have a poster of Falling In Reverse frontman Ronnie Radtke.... For some reason. I keep it out of sight as I ponder what to do with it.
