the first priority is your family

family is who you grow up with, the people into whose communities you are born to.

sometimes, family is simply the people you choose to associate with

EU Chief Brexit negotiator said,

"The future is a world of Empires."

Catalonia said,

"**** you."

Catalonia is right. Empires fall. Humansssess surive. I was amused by how Mark Zuckenberg sometimes words his Facebook posts.

We are among you.

And minor setbacks won't hold us back.

as borders erode

as the world becomes united through the power of technology

we will come to realize that our family is everyone in the world

including squirrels, octopuses, dolphins, and other critters capable of feeling pain.

i think a theory could be built that it is the ability to feel pain
that differentiates a higher being
from one who is not

the hardest part of course
is to live according to these beliefs
when everyone seems content
on going with the flow
and the humanssses who don't
want nothing more
than to destroy each other

Hey Koobs, what's with all the line breaks recently?
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

It appears like a more efficient way to communicate online
Because you can stress lines in sentences to signify importance or intonation
Like in a poem :)

I also believe it's faster to write and read short lines
as opposed to long sentences

It's more of a distraction due to its unconventionality. We expect the familiar format of written text when it isn't a poem, so breaking that format in such a way confuses the brain and disserves your intent of efficiency and better readability.

You can do what you want, man. Line breaks don't harm anyone. That's just what I think about using them where I consider it needless and complicating.

What hassle? How can there be hassle when we barely get any new posts at all? I gotta hand it to you, Koobie. This is one plot twist I didn't expect.

Each line break is 5 bytes, depending on the encoding. It takes about 7.5 microjoules to send each line break one way. That's wasted energy which is hastening global warming.

So I wouldn't say line breaks don't harm anybody, Kroko.

Do spaces between words take that same amount of energy, though? There'd still be those if not for line breaks. I can imagine a line break requiring more energy than a space due to reasons.

Then again, that's beside your point. Both line breaks AND spaces contribute to global warming.

I will up the ante now.

It will be my Christmas.

Spaces are only one byte.
