I am you. I am an alien outside of time and so are you. There is no need to fear.

My theory that we are all the same person-machine working towards self-evolution would also explain why so many people seem to have very similar thoughts at the same time in the world. It also explains “global subs consciousness”. It does away with jealousy (how can you be jealous towards yourself) and injustice. Modern religions are archaic, steeped in unnecessary rituals of worshipping the One True God when if every time we look at anything in the world we would realize it that it is part of ourselves, or, literally, ourselves, our every moment would be worshipping God which (hopefully) leads towards us becoming a better God in this lifetime faster than in our previous one.


That’s why prayers are answered; doubtlessly some of us are on a level that is beyond that which we would attribute to mortal men, and these “people” helped us out throughout history, because mortal men is not who we are.

I think Koobs is bummed that he missed out on being born soon enough to live through the `60's when you could babble on about peace and love and still fool people into taking you seriously.

But as it stands, this perennial bloom of flowers and roses comes across more like a Ned Flanders trying to suppress latent rage at anything that talks to him.

I think that's the real problem here. There is a law of conservation of disagreement, and violating it is messing with the vibe here. I suggest taking the Fight Club route rather than the Flanders route. (I mean, it didn't work out well for you last time, right?)

I mean, that's what this place is for, right? We go here to take on the role of intellectual punching bag as a way of relieving the stress and phoniness of modern life.

It doesn't work if you always agree with people on superficial matters as a way of weaselling your way out of any disagreement of substance. This is pretty much the opposite of what participating in Fight Club achieves, and frankly worthy of a ban.

To be fair, last time I did a hard psychedelic, I came away feeling like I should be a more positive role model and influence for other people, because I tend to drag things down into cynicism. I guess I forgot about that lesson, but of all the hippy dippy things to believe coming out of a trip, wanting to make others feel happier and more sure of themselves is well-grounded.

Hearing Sam Harris say that in a completely deadpan and sincere voice might have triggered the single largest burst of laughter I've ever let out listening to a podcast.
