I don't know. He's pretty freakin' evil.
Whew, you said literally. I thought I was in trouble there for a moment.
To make sure that "younglings" is banned from the lexicon at Disney World. Or maybe not but we're talking about it and that's a healthy, healing thing.

Maybe in some EU stuff, I'm kind of referring to the OT because that's about all I think of as canon at this point. I guess he's a party to a genocidal organization, given they blew up a planet in ANH. But otherwise at least he didn't order the execution of civilians and seems focused on military targets in a war.
Hah, that's genuinely awesome. Disney's trying to throw the blanket over it.

I thought Darth Vader was completely castrated by the fire. I would expect to see him singing boy soprano in choir before I'd see him pursuing women. (I didn't watch the video, maybe it even addresses that?)
(Edit: Just watched the video, I should have done that before posting. For a sec I thought this was just going to be a Harley Quinn rehash, but since Star Wars is always all about subversion. . .)

How long does EA have an exclusivity deal with Disney? Last I've heard it was "indefinite." For Disney's end, do they care as much if EA is squandering the license as the investors on EA's end of the deal?

Not yet.
Also, I tried to make the JK issues thread cover all JK related topics when this thread turned into "are games art" or some bull. Art is stupid.
(Not that your question would result in a different answer on that thread either, I seem to be the only one who's tried it out 'round here)
When I hear the word art, I reach for my Bryar pistol.

I think you mean Bryar Pastels.
Pastols?
Zelda BotW sequel footage came out at E3. I really loved the game so I'm looking forward to it.
Oh man, Banjo-Kazooie in Smash. It really is an IP graveyard, but hey, 90's kids will remember!
Edit: you would have to be like approaching 30 or 30+ now if you experienced the heyday of Banjo. This DLC is literally for Massassians.

On second thought (after coming back from a nice run outdoors), since you're such a positive guy, I'll keep an open mind. Despite no dismemberment, it does look like it has some good lightsaber-induced violence which is a plus. And I'm sure there are some talented, passionate people at Respawn working under the dark cloud of EA who would like their work recognized.
I hope you can actually draw on the walls with your saber like you could in JO. Such a cool detail (from 2002) I remembered from that demo that somehow went dodo over the many years...

I counted 125 seconds of an 834 second demo where player input mattered & you could fail. Exciting!
I know when I design my bases, I design my tunnels with giant swinging metal bars that would instantly kill anyone they strike. Keeps the rat and maintenance worker populations down.

lol, what's with the Zobooma-D2 unit. I think I'd be annoyed to think that thing was on my shoulder the whole time. Judging from the video though it doesn't seem like it would matter, since it doesn't seem like you need to try very hard to win in this game.
a few layers of story telephone.
A New Hope established the droids as real characters in the story, having.. personality.. and serving in some cases as foils for the leads. They serve as a medium between man and machine, which made more sense in 1970s but makes less sense today so whatever. But that worked as a bridge spanning the new, weird Star Wars world with the traditional Hollywood characters.
All the devs took from the OT was "people like robot sidekicks". None of why the droid sidekicks work, they just carbon copy some poor version of what they see because they think it's what people want without comprehending it.

sure.
The ending of God of War 4 lets you beat up Baldur forever. It’s the only thing you can do, smash the A button until you get bored. That’s interactive, and taking the work as a whole it says something interesting - both about the medium and about the person experiencing it. I’d consider it “art”.
But it also only achieved this by robbing the player of agency. I can’t choose to do anything else. I couldn’t choose to not be trained to commit violence over the rest of the game, to the point that I was normalized to this being my only choice. So it did this by being a slightly worse game.
I was going to comment about how in Star Wars, robots can apparently just open doors so why do they keep putting access panels on the outside of doors, then I remembered IRL we put these on all kinds of buildings:
So basically the Empire is about as secure as we are, makes sense.
I did enjoy Solo, so it's fair to take my Star Wars opinions w/a grain of salt
I think a lot of it just comes from caring about different things--I suspect I'll love the game and you guys won't, and that's okay! It'll probably get 75-85 metacritic and have just enough room for people to argue abt whether it's incredible or a pile of ****, haha
Some of those effects where you attack and a special animation happens... it’s cool, but one of the reasons why it’s cool is because it looks novel and you weren’t expecting it. If you see those animations over and over again with little variation it’s just going to get monotonous.

hahahahahahahhahahahahahFallout 76 battle royale
Fallout 76 is the first BGS game in 20 years that I haven’t bought, and the idea of a Fallout BR has done exactly nothing to change my interest. Mostly because it already cannot go down.
Bethesda wants to engage with the people playing their games for years or decades after release. Fine, that’s great. Then keep releasing content for it. Switch to a subscription model and trickle content out. Whatever, I’m fine with it all - I got multiple hundreds of hours out of Skyrim, im fine paying for it. But make it a survival game and you’ve lost me. Make it grindy multiplayer and you’ve lost me. Make it a competitive survival shooter and you’ve lost me. Make it a Skinner box loot and shoot and you’ve lost me. Do all of those things at the same time, and you’ve probably lost me forever.
I just wanna chime in here and say Thrawn# is def one of my top 3 massassians.
Are they still called massassians?
Less cool... unless I can play the games on Switch, then it’s suuuuh cool braaa
Hmm, but all those games are already available right now on Steam and GOG and whatnot. Just reboxing them makes little sense. Granted, we're talking about Disney, so logic might not apply...
But then again, Monkey Island has already been remastered. So we're probably really talking about a release on console. I wonder what they'll do with the X-Wing controls. You almost needed a second keyboard for every function in that game.
Sorry for the lousy German
Ah, so they're specialising in releasing physical boxes for games. So really just reboxing. Meh.
Sorry for the lousy German
I feel kinda bad for Limited Run because:
- Classic Star Wars games are mostly broken on new computers
- Most people don't know and can't figure out what Limited Run does
so there are going to be a lot of disappointed people expecting stuff like KotOR on Switch, X-Wing in HD, and a Jedi Knight that works on their computer.
