Which of these (listed below) were probably created by the New Republic?

Just use your intuiton

1.) Negative energy bubble- An alternative to Hyperspace. This is how the Alcubierre drive would work.

2.) Artificial cosmogenesis- This would be the creation of a new Star from scratch.

3.) Cosmic Ray sail- A sail ship that is powered by cosmic rays.

4.) Monopolium- https://arxiv.org/abs/hep-ph/0701133

5.) Mezoelectronics-electronics of the nanoscale with components using the effect of a strong dimensional quantum.

6.) Bias drive-https://www.daviddarling.info/encyclopedia/B/bias_drive.html

7.) Gravitational balloon- Completely hollow shell worlds created on a planetary or larger scale by contained gas alone

8.) Gastrobots- A pit droid drank beer in Star Wars Resistance but that might just be for comedic effect. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gastrobot

Axion field propulsion- Alternative to Hyperdrive. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torsion_field_(pseudoscience)

Artificial gill- I think the Jedi aqua breather counts but they were said to have a 2 hour oxygen supply. Kazuda had something similar to Star Wars Resistance, but it was never profiled and he was only down their for less than an hour.

Applications of Magnetic nanoparticles- Currently not commercialized in Earth but we are getting their.

I know I'm not going to get a satisfying answer, because I didn't last time, but: What are you asking? Which of these seems like something the New Republic might have done, that seems feasible to include in a story as something they've done? Are all 8 of these ideas so equally valid in your mind that you want to use your poll the audience lifeline to find out which should go in your story?

If this is something important to your story, hopefully you have reasons (thematic, logical, whatever) to favor one over the others, and if this isn't that critical for your story, why plumb the spec fic tech wiki so deeply and why plumb our SW dork brains so deeply to find the right one?

Just wondering! Assuming this is essentially a continuation of your previous thread entitled "Anything What Should A Scientist Be Working On In My Star Wars Fan Fiction".

Serious post: if you're thinking about writing a Star Wars fan fic and you're looking for some grade-A technobabble to launch off from, you really don't understand Star Wars. You should be writing a Star Trek Voyager fan fic instead.

Actually I am no longer trying to find things for my story. I read about future tech all the time and my mind races wondering if they could exist in Star Wars based on what we know

Star Wars technology exists as a narrative contrivance to fuse samurai and WW2 with a French-Japanese/1960s US serial inspired science fiction aesthetic. Would any of the technologies you listed help make WW2 space samurai more WW2 or more samurai? If so, then the technologies could exist in Star Wars. If not, then they probably shouldn't.

Why does Star Wars use hyperdrive? It's not a creative choice. By the 1970s, hard science fiction authors got wise to relativity and came up with hyperspace (a special frame of reference) as a way of allowing faster than light travel without violating causality. For a time this meant hyperdrive became the default for the entire genre, and it got dragged into Star Wars since nobody who worked on the project cared enough about the technology to even try to put original thought into it.

That's why hyperdrive is still the default for soft sci fi / fantasy today. The only modern exception is Star Trek, which had only used an earlier default of "spacetime warp" because they didn't care a whole lot about the technology, either.

Alright, gotcha! It's just speculate for fun time.

After the fall of the New Order and the birth of the Neo New Republic, Force-sensitive scientists working on Amino I mean Kamino discover a way to clone Midichlorians, thereby greatly increasing the force-sensitivity of force-sensitives in a secret labor-a-tory. These new "Midiclonians" allow for the creation of a secret order of

Of what? OF WHAT? This is too engrossing to end there. Is it a secret order of FORCE-BOOSTED SUPER JEDI?

Was the Death Star actually suppose to be analogous to the Manhattan Project originally? Or just the Vietnam War-era military complex (kinda what I have been assuming Lucas' intentions)?

The Death Star is a death ray. The evil galactic emperor twirled his mustache and used it to blow up the space princess's home planet.
