I reserve the right to delete any thread I don't like before the final archive. Farewell posts are fine. Political posts are not fine. Random "do you like x?" threads are not fine. Threads about the end of the forums, as long as the content is respectful, are fine.

If you have anything important in your private messages or something, now is the time to copy/paste it and save it somewhere else.

Thank you so much for this website and these forums. It's wild to think that this slice of the internet has been here for two decades for us Jedi Knight nerds and I really enjoyed getting to use a classic forum this past year to hammer out some more code patches for the game. The modern internet has no clue what it's missing and while it's a bummer it's finally time for the forums to end, freezing them as a static export of its contents rather than outright pulling the plug is hugely appreciated.

Going to go tweak the first post of my JK 2023 thread to make use of this last minute opportunity.

Once again thank you Brian for all you and others have done running and keeping massassi alive. For many years I have been a lurker. So interaction has been limited. It was awesome how you continued keeping massasi alive in some form and shape. Once again many thanks Brian :-).

You should also add a new post to the bottom of your thread so it gets bumped to the top!

This was the first site where I "met people from the internet", because go figure a bunch of nerd/geeks would wind up going to the same tech school. Lasted longer then other communities, thanks for keeping this going as long as you have.

In my view, Massassi was fundamentally a website where teenagers bickered about politics and religion, and Jedi Knight was sort of a minor accessory that. Weird to see to see a major part of my early life finally end.

Farewell Massassi... I was around for some of the earliest threats of closure more than 2 decades ago. Glad we got to squeeze this lemon for all it's juice. It will be sad to see another classic forum go the way of the buffalo.
