I need a simple 3do ... plz read...

I have been trying to make a door that is really bent up and out of shape ... but lets just say my 3do skills aren't exactly up to par ... or anything for that matter. All I need is a simple 3x2 door (I think that's standard size.) with some regular door texture. (I will texture it if you don't want to bother with it.) It doesn't need to work with any cog, it's just going to be laying around. All it needs to be is bent up out of shape ... as if it was blown out of a hall. Thanks alot to anyone who can help!

Actually you make just try making a couple cleaves about 0.1 JKU apart with the middle of the door being between them (do this in sector mode, not surface) and then pushing the vertices on the door ends upwards, that should bend it pretty well. Not sure if it'll work, some texture might get screwed up but you could try it.

yep, i think that would work. But do at least 1 one on each main view i'd say. (1,2, and 3)

Impressive. Moist impressive.

This time I'm not going to link to my first post on Massassi (that has always been available since the Main Editing Forum was never purged), but I'm going to make a needlessly long sentence to mention how I'm not going to link to it. Woof.

No, but I've had success running JED in Windows 95 running in Dosbox inside a Windows 10 VM hosted in VMware on Debian.

Tangentially related to this ...topic? ... Machinegames, the studio behind the newest Wolfenstein game, released the "fifth episode" to the original Quake. Cool seeing a modern studio use old tools to make new levels to a game older than JK

I remember running it on Wine. It wasn't perfect, though, and I didn't ever use it for anything serious, so YMMV.

I can imagine Neo creating all his 3do files in notepad directly.

You know, despite people wasting their talents on JK's outdated engine parts (COG, MAT, etc.), I don't think anyone has ever actually made a proper 3DO completely out of scratch without using a 3D editor (JED, JOKE, JK3DO, etc.).

It'd surely earn someone the "Time Well Spent" achievement in the "We Obviously Had Nothing Better To Do" awards.

That's how people used to make Dark Forces 3DOs.

Hmm. Weren't they just flat sheets, boxes and sometimes vaguely "complex" like those welder arms?

I feel like some of these posts are counter-trolls. I can't tell if Alco actually thought this was a new thread, or if it's just a giant 3do middle finger.

Could somebody do the Utah teapot in JK?
