Click
and Click

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume most of the SG1 fans here have heard of this show. I'm looking forward to it, but I'm not so sure if the show will last too long on TV. But I hope it does.

I would like to add that ANY spin off series of stargate will chew monkey, and will forever soil the good name that is stargate.

And to confirm my opinion, I will now click the link.

Meh, I donno. It could be good. It all depends on the writers, the actors, and how good the set design and CG teams are. If just one of those arent right, the whole thing will suck noodles.

Sounds interesting, but this is supposed to take place years later than the regular SG1 series is? Weird, when I first heard of it I figured it would take place in the same time frame.

I thought that it did... Especially since they will overlap each other by a season... Plus part of the thing that draws me to Stargate SG-1 is that it is seemingly set in our time... However there are plenty of other shows that I watch that are not set in our time frame so.. meh... could be either.

It's going to blow.

The go'oulds (sp?) are the main drive behind the whole series. Unfortunately SG-1 has even been lacking in go'ould action lately, which is rather disappointing...

Anyway, atlantis is a civilian team, so thats strike 2.

No Go'ould, no military, no good. Especially the military part. CIVILIAN?

Yeah...well, maybe it'll have full frontal female nudity in the pilot like the original did. Can't lose with that.

That's because is didn't have any (thay I know of. I didn't like the movie much. I watched SG-1 long before the movie and they just weren't the same).

Anyways, I watched SG-1 because I liked Richard Dean Anderson from MacGyver. Then I got hooked on SG-1. The animated series was bad too. All they did was talk and they never shoot anyone.

pfft. Kids shoot people in video games all the time, I think they can handle seeing the SGC shoot aliens.

I guess the rule always was when you make a cartoon that should have guns or violence in it, you take out guns and put lasers in. And anyone who gets shot with the lasers is a robot. This is why kids kill people, they aren't desensitized enough when they start playing GTA, and they are overwhelmed by that violence. We need to start our kids off very early. Maybe have Oscar the Grouch carrying an assult rifle, and the next time people bug him he teaches them! Then when out toddlers want to play Vice City, we can rest assured that they are farmiliar enough with violence that they won't freak out and shoot real people.

Wait, where was I? Oh yeah, I doubt any of the channels I get will have Atlantis (they stopped airing new SG-1 episodes a while back). So I probably won't watch it. And if I do get it, I might not watch it anyways, like how I didn't watch the new Battle Star Galactica mini-series.
