Yup, it happened. Read the story here:

Stupid... so stupid... what are they thinking? "Well, Die Another Die was the best Bond movie to date, so let's TOTALLY RUIN 007'S ****!" Damn you, Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson!

Doesn't make much sense to me, but it'll be their loss if the next Bond movie tanks, I suppose.

I'm having a very hard time picturing Orlando Bloom as Bond, he's far too girly for the part.

Die Another Day sucked. Goldeneye RULED for the first 20 minutes, but it went downhill from there...

Yeah, remember at the beggining of Goldeneye, right after Brosnan broke into the Soviet facility, dropped into the bathroom, and rounded the corner with PPK in hand? Yeah, right there. THAT was Bond. But, alas, it did not last....

*sound of brain exploding*

Anyway, I love Hugh Jackman, but I can't see him as a Bond. Same with Jude Law. Orlando Bloom is way too young. Colin Farrell I also love, but yeah, not really for Bond. Next.

Two things:

I agree that Jason Isaac would be an awesome Bond.

Also, I meant to say best-grossing, not best. DAD was decent though. Loved the scene with the Vanquish on the frozen lake. If only I could marry a car...

I agree Roach, Orlando Bloom's a girly boy in my book...

The face really...and his voice isn't a deep masculine bond voice...

Orlando Bloom could be Bond...

Eh, Halle Berry repulses me...I can't stand her worth a passion.

Ever see Monsters Ball?

I saw it cause a movie was sold out.

WORSE. MOVIE. EVER

Damn...horrible...complete crap...and I lost all respect for her in it. 'Great performance' my *** ...

If theres one good thing that comes from this... maybe now we'll get to see Clive Owen as James Bond sooner.

And GoldenEye was Brosmen's best, I think. That article is wrong on soo many accounts.

Oh, and Hugo Weaving should be the next Bond, because he has experience playing government agents.

Roger Moore was fifty freaking eight when he made A View To A Kill. I think what the producers are trying to do is restart the Bond series, pretend like the first 20 Bonds just never happened. Which, in my book, is really lame.

It would have been better if Bond was rogue the whole time.

Orlando Bloom? I can handle his acting in Lord of the Rings because he's supposed to be a breathy little elf man, but in Pirates, every minute he was onscreen without Depp sucked.

I think it's his tone. Awful...

I have to agree. Whilst POTC was a greatly entertaining movie, Bloom was just way out performed by Depp, Rush and Keira Knightly. It also didn't help that his character wasn't given any depth mind you.

Surprised Christian Bale's not come up (in this thread)- I think he'd play a pretty smooth Bond... Although my best friend thinks James Purefoy (all I've seen him in is A Kinght's Tale as the Black Prince of Wales) should don the Walther next...

But that's just because she wants his babies. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

Meh, whoever said that it was all downhill from goldeneye was right IMO too
