I think they need to actually release a sixth movie before they can do that. But don't fret, they will most assuradely sell a six movie version about two years from now.

Its just a reworking of the original special edition VHS box-set.... The silver one still looks cool though, I'll probablys buy that.

Still preferred the other ones...

There were semi-official. They were test/prototype versions of the packaging.

Where did the test go wrong? I think the quality control machine must be controlled by Overglow or something... those previous covers were a million times better.

But simple is good. I like it. Could it be better, probably, but what they have I find pretty damn good.

I don't like how its almost identical to my SE VHS Boxed Set... they just moved a few images around... The pic of Vader is new and cool though.

I have original CBS/FOX copies of the trilogy plus Special Editions plus this new set on DVD when it comes out.

Email me if you guys are destroying yourselves over not having the original Han shoots first, Lapti Nek, or Ewok Victory song...

I remember last time they released the trilogy in one complete package they said it would be the last time and that it would be the collectors... pfft, glad I didnt buy it.

It was the last time you could get the un-edited original trilogy. The dvds will only have the Special Editiong versions of the movies.

The widescreen should be gold, and the formatted silver. Widescreen is better than formatted, and gold is better than silver, right (in general)?

There are some cases where silver > gold. Like like major oak leaves vs. lt. colonel oak leaves in the military.

They could put both cuts of the movie on the disc. They did that withthe Alien box set.
