I do have one suggestion... if its possible, swap the text in the page title so that the name of the thread is first, followed by "The Massassi Temple". That way, for those of us who browse with a tabbing browser, it would be possible to distinguish between threads based on the title....
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

Brian, somewhere, it's either an option or a plugin/hack, there is a "Fast Reply" thing. What it does is add a textbox and a post bottom to the bottom of every thread page you view. It is INSANELY convenient and I HIGHLY recommend you add one. :)

If you want I can ask the vB forum I see this feature in where they got the plugin/hack.

[Edit: They run vB 3.0.2, we run 2.3.5... why is that? This is brand new! :(]

[Edit: Ah it has been explained to me, we are upgrading later... I see]

Also, turn on the option that lets users specify their own custom title... or change mine back! :p Preferably the first.

Eeeergh. Mostly okay, but some things strike me as OMG EW

1. Colored text and font sizes. NO NO NO KILL IT!

2. User CP/Register/FAQ/Search buttons. OMQ KILL IT!

3. Reply and new topic buttons are fugly now! Change the background back to black or I'll cry.

4. I don't have a custom title. :gbk:

we used phpBB on another site (swgalaxies.net back in the day) and it got hacked regularly even though we kept up with patches. Forget it.

Just curious but on this new forum system, if someone were to post a picture that made the page scroll horizontally, will it only effect that persons post and not everyone else's post? Hopefully you people know what I'm talkinag about since I don't feel like explaining it in detail.

This already looks pretty much like the old forum, but works far better. I don't belong to those who believe Massassi's was such a good and viable forum just because it used a different kind of technical system than other places. Now this has all the functions shared by most other (quality) forums, and thus the actual message of your posts is emphasized, not the way you have technically posted them.

Very good work! I have no complaints what-so-ever.

Why am I a junior member when people I haven't even heard of are senior members?! I was here before this account as well. I consider myself to be middle-school in the old-school/new-school scheme of things...

On the whole I don't disagree with the change, though there's still some polishing to be done and I can't wait til it happens! Thank you for your effort Brian.

What are the little pointing down arrows next to each thread for?

I'm guessing they're supposed to do something like show which threads have new posts, only they dont go away once you've read a thread.

Also, I know you can do this on some forums. Is there a way we can set the date format we want to use? This MM-DD-YYYY business is confusing me.

That one just takes you to the last post. If you hover your cursor over some of the buttons they tell you what they do.

Another thing I've noticed is that the little envelopes on the left have a black circle on them if you've posted in that thread. Which is kind of useful.

Oh yeah, Brian: there is a feature in vBulletin that automatically changes all-caps topics to lowercase. If you activate this, admins will never have to waste their time with an all caps topic every again.
