look at my new name!! seeing as I never use mavispoo anymore, I had it changed, and just wanted to share my joy.

But I also want to whine about being ill. I'm constantly one cough away from throwing up and I think my brain is trying to escape out of my nasal passages... it sucks :(
also, it's very odd that quite a few people around here are unwell at the moment. perhaps there's a virus going around massassi! haha..ha....ha. *coughweezecough*

Maybe your constantly being ill has something to do with your complete lack of exercise? I'm just sayin', y'know?

Weird... I just had a small migrane not to long ago that occured doing my algebra class. I had to stop taking notes because I was too blind to see my paper (visual migrane is always the first phase of all my migranes). I'm recovering now so I don't have to worry about throwing up which happens when it gets really bad.

BTW, gj on the name change. Now maybe people would stop thinking "Massive Poo" now, LOL :p

I used to get those constantly when I was 12-13 or so. Fortunately it passed!

Sometimes I get headaches when I think too much. Sometimes in a tough class when 90% of the material is over my head, and I'm straining to understand, I get some splitting headaches. That happen to anyone else? And the funny thing is, the cure is to stop thinking. I just have to clear my mind for a while. :p

Technically, you can never stop thinking since you inner monolouge is always running. Even if you try not to think, you're most likely thinking about not thinking :p

I asked for a namechange awhile ago, apparently Greenboy would cost far too much in bribe money. Perhaps I could afford changing it to simpley S.

yes, I'm well aware of that. I'm joining the same gym I was a member of when I was in sixth form. I stopped going back then because my friends couldn't afford it anymore so they stopped going. As long as I have people to make me go, I'll go, so a group of us are joining.

Pagewizard, I soaked them for about a day, then just ran them through the wash as normal.

Maybe I should jump on the bandwagon and ask to get the dashes chopped off my name... they're getting a bit long.

Oh, and bad times in regard to pukey, and good times for other positive stuff.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

I've had a nasty thing all summer where I randomly start coughing and people think I'm trying to be sick (same sort of noise) because there's all the lovely gunk at the back of my throat - it's horrible and *really* bad after mealtimes. Just like you if I do it enough I start actually gearing up to sick even when I don't need to be whatsoever.

I'd love to get mine flipped to my real name, but then nobody save a very, very select few would know who I am. If it was my nickname (an abbreviation of my real name) I doubt ANYBODY would know. Never mind.

Maybe it's SARS. I actually had to study it a little to give a lecture on the subject. It's pretty nasty, and the symptoms fit quite well your description!

Your new name is nice one (and sounds quite familiar, not entirely surprising), that's cool. I hope you live to enjoy it!

well I wouldn't want to upset the Fancy one! (and I want colours abolished! :p)

I've been using maevie in #massassi for so long now, it just seemed silly having a different one here, I'd have changed it last year if I could have. (or maybe I could have...who knows?)

and for anyone still caring, I'm all better! w00t! though this does mean I'll have to actually do some work tomorrow.. :(

No, no, no maevie. It wouldn't be healthy to go back to work tomorrow. You have to give yourself time to recover. This is how your supposed to deal with sickness:

Pre-sickness phase: "I think I'm coming down with something, better take a few days to stop getting really sick.

Get really sick anyway

Sickness phase: "I think I've come down with something, better take a few days off to stop myself getting sicker.

Get sicker anyway

Pathogen-fighting phase: "I think I'm getting better, immune system must have finally gotten off its arse, better take a few days off to give it time to kill everything off"

Start feeling better

Post-sickness phase: "I feel better but my immune system is all worn out from fighting pathogens, better take another day or two off to make sure I don't get sick again"

Trust me. I'm Australian. I know stuff.

heheheh. liking the advice! but today was my stretching it out as long as possible day. I'm so far beyond broke it's not even funny (I'm 20 and I can't afford to leave home) and if I don't work, I don't get paid.

I think I missed a grand total of 0 days of school last year.

When I get sick it's usually really really bad, like 104 temp, throwing up, just feeling horrible, but usually it's like 'Ebola-Sar-Flu 24 hour virus'. I think the longest I've been 'sick' was for like 3 or 4 days. I hate being sick. I dont count coughing and the lot as sick. Once I had a really bad cough (every time I'd cough I'd cough so much and so hard I almost thrw up >.<) for about 1 1/2 months. That sucked, but it wasn't sick like, throwing up, being so weak you cant get out of bed, not drinking anything but gatorade and eating crackers or soup. (This is why I cant eat chicken noodle soup or drink gatorade anymore, I have it EVERYTIME I am sick because I guess its easy on stomache or something, but now if I even see gatorade in a store, I feel really sick like)

Anyway, enough about me....

:D

20? You're still a young'un! I'm 23 and can't afford to move out yet. Admittedly, I'm still at uni (both for work and study) but my study prevents me getting a job that pays enough money to support myself, and my work at uni only pays enough (barely) to cover my board and other bills.

*sigh* It's a glorious saturday afternoon down here and I'm in my office marking bad lab reports with a cold. :( Someone pity me.

:edit: This was obviously meant to come underneath maevie's post.
2004-09-10, 9:01 PM #40
youngun'?? I'm not a teenager anymore!! I'm ...a grown up, or something gross like that!

Yeah, I'm still at uni too. This being my last year, I was going to finally move into halls (also there's an all new student campus that's just been built, so I'd actually be living at uni) but it turns out my rent would be the entirety of my student loan, so I'd have to work constantly just to survive, and I really need to study this year, so I'm staying home AGAIN. ah well, this time next year, I'll be out of the country... and hopefully I'll do the whole student thing properly overseas somewhere, doing a PhD or something...
