Keyboard: Logitech Elite
Display: ViewSonic 21PS 21" CRT
Speakers: Logitech Z640 5.1 Surround

Minus the Display (which I've had FOREVER), the speakers, and the mouse, that computer came up to a nice total of $700.91 USD. The mouse was a Christmas present last year, and the speakers I got 3 months before the actual purchase of the computer. Did I mention that all of my internal components save the Audigy and my drives are Red? A feat I accomplished purely by accident. Should look nice if/when I put a window in it.

Let's see...
  • Motherboard: Soyo CK8 Dragon+ (Socket 754)
Chipset: NVidia NForce 3 150 (can't be beat!)
Integrated Audio: AC'97 5.1 controlled by NForce 3
Integrated NIC: NForce 100MBps Ethernet controller (1 port)
I/O slots: 6 PCI slots, 1 8x AGP slot (not 4x compatable, though...)
  • PSU/Case: cheap DiabloTec case w/350 w PSU (will replace PSU to allow for more powerful components, but will probably keep case to avoid hassle of re-installing everything all over again)
  • CPU: AMD Athlon64 2800+ (1.800 Ghz, and will upgrade to 3700+ eventually)
  • RAM: 512MB PC 3100 400Mhz DDR (will replace with 2GB in time, but lowest upgrade priority)
  • Graphics Card: ATI Radeon 7000 (Highest upghrade priority: will be Saphire X800 XT. See explaination below list)
  • HHD: Hitachi Deskstar 92GB, 7200 RPM, 133MB/s (bleh. Will probably add a Seagate 200GB or better later)
  • CD-RW: Ricoh Ultra-speed (52x24x52) CD-RW drive
  • Floppy Drive: "permanently borrowed" from old computer
  • Keyboard: Micro Advanta MS standard keyboard (very cheap, I've replaced it 3 times in the past 3 years, but only $5US each time)
  • Pointer input: Logictec Trackman PS/2 (from 1994, and not optical, but has worked perfectly for past 10 years. Very worth its original $80 purchase price, from the days when precision components didn't have planned obsolecense. Ah, those were the days...)
  • Display: 17" VGA-compatable monitor (unknown brand, but handles well)
  • Printers: all on network, and changing. Includes random number of varrying-quality inkjets, a Multi-Function inkjet, and a laser printer (B&W)

As for my video card, I'm replacing it with a Saphire X800, no other considerations (sorry, fanboys). Reason A: I want to ghave both ATI and NVidia stickers on the front of the case. Radeon B: Saphire cards use black PCBs, which will match the black motherboard, black case, black drives, black etc. (I don't do clear acrylic panels or neon lights, though...)

I really want to upgrade my proc, but I have yet to play a game that makes it roll over and die, so I might just hold off. I want to go AMD 64 but it will cost so much more than if I just went for a 3.2E P4. They are so cheap right now too.

Oh, and my top 3DMark '03 score, running at 406mhz/650mhz on my 9800, and 2.3ghz on my proc - 5828

I think I could OC higher If I aim a large fan into my case or something :D A pretty respectable score for my system, I think.
