Personally, I think you're examining the movie way too much. :p Also, if I remember right, the flashes
were yellow originally. If anything is to blame for these other "colour changes" you mention, it's probably the process used to bring it from analog to a digital source. That, or it could be the quality of your TV/the video cables connecting your player, etc.
I'm glad I bought this. Got a free poster too for reserving, w00t. In addition, I get a $15 rebate. Not too shabby. The first thing I watched were all the bonus materials. I won't spoil anything too terribly, but the Episode III preview was... spinetingling. Which is a good thing.

All in all, I recommend this to any Star Wars fan or even casual watcher.
P.S.: All of the rumours about things being changed are false. It's exactly the same as the Special Edition, but cleaned up for the digital format.
