This can't be happening to me

16 for beer and wine here in Germany :) And you can stay in pubs till 12pm.

18 for everything else.

And I drink since I am 14, so for 6 years... perhaps not the best thing, but sometimes I love it.

And I can't really stand clubs without beeing drunk. When I am drunk I enjoy the techno (and yeah I know that there's techno) and house music they bring, but in sober state I only like some special music of this kind (actually almost only josh wink:) ). Only when I go in a rock club, I could stay sober, but hey, it's rocknroll!

That's why I'll never go to one.

Sure, dancing is fun, but if you want to go to primarily pick up chicks, you are wasting your time. but the chicks that frequent those places are usually icy cold and are only there so suckers, chumps, and other clueless guys will buy them drinks. If you want to club when you are old enough to get in, go with the intent of having fun, not with the intention of sarging the place for phone numbers. Sure, you may get one or two in clubs if oyu know what you are doing, but don't expect to fill your black book up in one night.

House parties sometimes have decent dance music going, plus they also have booze, and the chicks there are more open. You get all the strengths, and none of the weaknesses that you get at bars and clubs.

Lots of people think that bars and clubs are such kicka** pickup places, but they really aren't. You can usually do better even in class at uni, in restaurants, or even talking to people on the street.

Once, I met a chick at a crosswalk at uni and I got a nice number talking to her while waiting for the light to change. My point is, chicks put up a front in clubs that they don't have in real life, so it's better to avoid such an obstacle entirely.

Don't worry, he won't learn until he learns the hard way. Clubs do suck, and I can't even dance so they REALLY suck for me. If you're trying to pick up girls, you're barking up the wrong tree with clubs. There might be a handful of super skanks who'll give you a number, the rest will just give you the burn or just use you for free drinks. And I have a feeling if you're posting on a dork forum like massassi you were not born with any inate women getting abilities that might help you overcome these hurdles.

Your time and money would be better spent on a sixpack and a penthouse.

Houseparties and stuff are better, although even those aren't great. Since a good number of people usually know eachother there, the women are a little more open even if they don't know you.

Replace "getting laid" with "throwing up on a bouncers shoes" and I'll agree with that statement.

Scorcho: You don't read these threads often, do you? Anyway, I don't want to go to a club to get girls. That's what college is for. I want to go to a club to dance(or at least that's what it's called) with many anonymous women who I have no intention of ever seeing again. Suddenly, a Dane Cook joke has come to mind.

I hate when people hate on clubs and insult the people that go there. Just get your quick "I suck at dancing, really dont have the nerves or like talking to a girl in a club, so I just dont go." in, and leave. But saying a club sucks for other stupid reason is just..ignorant.

I love going to the clubs. They are awesome espcially if you are LOOKING to have a good time. If you go with the mentallity that you will have a ****ty time...I guaruntee you, you will.

Tech·no: Any of various styles of dance music characterized by electronic sounds and a high-energy, rhythmic beat.

Uhh...so WTF are you talking about, 99% of people don't know what techno is? It's pretty obvious once you hear it.
Think while it's still legal.

That definition is incorrect. And you might've even pulled it out of webster, even they don't have the right definition!

What you hear in clubs is most likely dance, trance, rave, euro, or something similar. That is what people call "techno". Real techno is something completely different. I'm typically not a big nazi when it comes to genres. Mixing up punk and pop-punk, or metal and death metal, that's one thing. But techno and what people call techno are really nothing alike, so it really pisses me off when people say things like "I can't stand techno" when they don't really know what they're talking about in the first place.

I could give you a few names. Fluke, Moby... (although they mostly do alot of electronica)

Ever played UT? Or UT2k4? A bunch of songs on those soundtracks are techno.

Oh god yes! You can chose the music on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and I'll take Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Sunday's music shall be decided by a random number generator, I'll take 0-4, you shall take 5-9. The winner of Sundays shall be required to play no less than 1 hour of music as specifically requested by the non-randomly picked winner of said specific Sunday, except on the third Sunday of every month where we shall listen to the radio exclusively.

I'm not saying that clubs suck-- they have their uses, but they are miserable places to meet chicks, no doubts whatsoever about that.

I'm also quite good at dancing (modern dancing is kind of like vertical sex would be-- and i say that with all seriousness) , so I go just to have fun with my friends , and when I go, getting phone numbers is among the furthest things from my mind.
