Great, first hurricanes, and now a volcano???

CNN says that Mount St. Helen's has been doing some 'usual' activity in recent days/weeks. Scary if this should erupt. I lived in B.C., just north of Washington State, when the last time it erupted (what 24 years ago?), and we felt the rumblings and even got covered in several inches of ash!

Man, this is scary. The big man upstairs must have it in for good ol' U.S. of A.........

Cool. The last couple of months have been like a blockbuster movie. I suppose it can't stop now!

I thought this was for Florida at first. I thought, "A volanco now? Florida is screwed!"

But I hate to see what damage that volcano could do.

I'm starting to think the Apocalypse might really be coming. I mean 6 hurricanes, I think it was, in 5 weeks (or was it 4 in five weeks?), a volcano, all the tornados ravaging the south that got hit by the tropical storms left over...jeez.

If we have a humongo earthquake in Cali, you know why. ;)

When I was down in Tijuana, Mexico during the first half of this year, everyone was freaked out because apparently some scientists (I don't know who) had predicted that California was going to have the biggest earthquake in their history on September 28. So, if you guys fall off into the ocean today, we'll know why. :p

I guess having no rain is bad over here.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

Well, soon we should have huge snow storms and some volcanic eruptions.... possibly a few more hurricanes. Even some meteors to add to the flavour....

To add to the horror, it rained here too today

I thought the big earthquake was going to happen in October. I could be mistaken though.

Anyways, the big asteroid passes by the Earth tomorrow... it's supposed to be a million miles out, but you never know...

All we need is some flooding in the midwest and a couple of really bad forest firs and we'll have it all.

Yeah things have definatly been getting crazy with these hurricanes and now Mount St. Helen is being grumpy? Bad days.. I hope nothing happens.

It rained during the night here. I'm all giddy with glee at the possibility of a huge series of natural disasters, aside from the fact that being in the MidWest makes you the target for 50% of the world's tornados...

Just to let you know, the entire top of Mt. St. Helens is gone, so even if there is an eruption, I doubt it will spew ash for hundreds of miles like it did last time, and I don't think there are any big towns in the path of any lava, esp. after the last time, so I think people will be okay. Except for those hikers.

But it never rains in Southern California..

I just got out of English class, and my teacher informed me that they had an earthquake in California today.

Thought they told me September 28. Its been half a year since I heard it, so I can't be certain. I've gotta go check to see if my teacher was lying to me though...

Edit: Nope, he wasn't. California doesn't seem to have fallen off yet though.

I slept through the last earthquake I was in. The only clue that I had been through one was the fact that I was out of my bed with my legs still in it. Don't know exactly how half my body fell onto the floor without me waking up though. :p

The last one I remember was about 3-4 years ago. I was sitting in my high school math class during a test or something, and I heard the rattling sound of desk legs on the ground. I thought it was just one idiot jiggling his desk, until I realized that all of the desks were doing it. The class quickly erupted into a barrage of "what the hell!?", "earthquake!" and "cool!". I looked outside and noticed the branches of a huge nearby tree swaying, and the power lines were bouncing up and down (like what happens when you whip and extension cord lying on the ground). It immediately became obvious that the countless years of earthquake drills had been useless, as nearly every student jumped out of their seat and started running around, and those that didn't just sat in their desks and rode them around like off-balanced washing machines. After the shaking stopped (which seemed like it lasted only around 10-15 seconds), the principal kindly informed everyone over the PA system that "we just had an earthquake", and to exit the building. We spent about an hour standing outside as the faculty and custodians combed the buildings to make sure that there was no structural damage, and that the propane tanks were still intact.

The weird thing about earthquakes is that though they may last half a minute, I always have a hard time remembering more than 1-2 seconds of it. It's quite a bizarre feeling, and I never seem to fully realize what happened until it's over.

Cool been waiting for an eruption.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

To the asteroid comment, we actually have one event left before that: Major flooding in the north-east U.S. Then the asteroid.
