Bush and Kerry Debate Thead: No Debating Allowed

At 60 votes, it's still tied perfectly...

Too bad the ballot asks you to vote for somebody. They should change it so the options are voting against somebody, such as "Not Bush", and "Not Kerry". If the ballots were like that, Ralph Nader would actually have a chance at all of being president.

The only way to do that is to vote for the person of the opposite major party. That's what will give them the most chance of not winning.
Not Bush= Kerry
Not Kerry= Bush

Most people are always far more certain about which politicians they don't like than which they like, so a system where the least hated wins could be interesting.

what about the people that don't know better, hate Bush, but then vote for Nader, which is effectively removing their vote from the pool (not actually harming Bush). the same thing happened for those who hated the Democrats in 1992-2000. They voted for the Reform and Libertarian parties.

The only reason I'd vote for anyone in this election (I'd vote for Kerry) is because Edwards has true potential as a great politician.

This would be a good idea, but it wouldn't work in a country like the US where you only have two competitors worth mentioning.

I voted Bush. Kerry just doesn't seem to be a good speaker. Although, the only way Bush will lose is if the crowd would be a bit more towards Democratic(which will probably happen)
obviously you've never been able to harness the power of cleavage...

I guess we'll see if either one of these guys has the balls to break any of the rules.

It begins!

Bush is getting owned.
It's simple. It does not mean either president is better or worse, but in the debate, from a debating perspective, Kerry is dominating.

Kerry sounds boring. But I love this quote:

I'm not sure about one thing. Is Bush's job hard work? He hasn't made it very clear yet.
2004-09-30, 8:06 PM #56
It must be pretty tough, he takes more vacation time than any other president.

This is getting far too close to "Debate" status. Please don't debate the debate in here guys :(

Us break the rules? You do see the supreme hypocrisy there, right?

I'm sorry I don't understand.
You know when you read a big word, and you aren't really sure what it means... so you break the word up until little bits and then re-arrange those letters into simpler words so you can understand?
That's sort of what happened.

My apologies, I just couldn't resist. ;) You understand.

I don't care who wins. England is still going to be America's lap dog.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.
