As for how to help, there really isn't a lot you can do. This kind of serious trauma just requires you to show love and attention. Buy her flowers, cards, draw her some pictures (artists will find it nice even if it's quaint and / or bad), or just sit with her. Whatever you do, DON'T try to start conversation about the incident. If she wants to talk about it, she'll talk about it. The most you should initiate is "Are you OK?", "I hope you get better soon". etc.

There are 'objects' they could use for sexual domination.

When a male is diagnosed with testicular cancer, the testicles can be removed. To remedy this, he may take doses of testosterone in pill form. As far as I understand, this can enable a male to have an errection, etc, etc.. Of course, a convicted rapist would probably have trouble getting his hands on such things, but, just saying, it's not a fool proof physical cure.
