As though the development of Halo for PC was EVER MS's choice.
Read up on the facts.
When Halo was first being developed, it started out on PC. Something Bungie initally didn't like. They prefered developing games souly for the Mac platform. Afterall, it was where their games were more widely bought. However, by the time E3 '99 (I think it was '99) rolled around, the Mac platform had caught up enough to warrant the switching from PC to Mac. Thus, what was shown at that E3, was on a Mac.
Shortly thereafter, Bungie was bought out by Microsoft. Microsoft needed a game to launch with the Xbox. They saw that game in Halo. Bungie has since decided to continue development on the Xbox only. At least until something else presents itself, or MS asks them. Now, Bungie has also expressed a like and dislike of developing souly for the Xbox. The upside, is work progesses faster. You have a set hardware description. What you develop, is EXACTLY what the user will see when they take the game home and pop it in. You don't have to design for gobs of different hardware configs. The downside, is that they lost part of their fan base. Bungie has also, from what I've been told, mostly just been left alone by MS. The choice of what to develop and design is theirs. MS doesn't ride their back and demand things.
Making Halo OR Halo 2 for PC was NEVER Microsoft's decision. If Bungie had wanted to, they could've continued development on the Mac/PC platforms while also working on the Xbox version. They chose Xbox.
Now please, shut-up and stop being such a PC fanboy. I seem to recall a thread awhile back where you said you hated fanboys. You are the thing you hate.
