I watched his show and lost a lot of respect for him (why does he only pick on Bush? He could get twice the material if he made fun of Kerry too). He gets a higher rating in my book because of that clip.

He's always made fun of both. If Kerry wins, he'll make fun of Kerry

Of course he's nicer to Kerry. He's a Democrat. He was at the convention (not for the story, but to support Kerry).

He's not a news anchor, he's a comedian. He doesn't have to be fair. Comedians make fun of people they don't like.

But he still pokes a lot of fun at Kerry, it's not one-sided.

First of all, its not always bush, i've seen a few good ones on kerry, but, yes, its mostly bush. however, Bush is the one in office now, not kerry, so there's more to go on (his administration as well as the campaign), and, as chaz said, he's a democrat. if it was a serious news show, it would be a problem, but its not, which is one of the points he made on that clip. He doesn't need to be unbiased, he just needs to be funny. however, i believe he will make fun of kerry almost much as bush if he takes office.

I have never seen the Daily Show, but that is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. I think I will have to watch that now.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

Jon Stewart's behavior reminded me of Jesse James' behavior on Monster Garage for some reason.

If you don't joke about what the people want to mindlessly laugh about what they've already heard in variations from every Tom, Dick, Harry, Larry, Curly and Moe then you won't get ratings.

Edit: And Bob.

No offense to Bush supporters, but it's a lot easier to make fun of Bush then it is Kerry.
Theres just something about him...

Could someone explain the concept of Crossfire to us non-Americans, please? Pretty sure I get it, but I'd like to hear it from someone who knows.

Well, he only gave one of his main reasons for hating the Bush admininistration so much instead of the Kerry one in that clip. When he was asked the question by the bow tie guy why he only picked on Bush and would be pick on Kerry, Stewart said that he'd pick on Kerry a lot more if they screwed up as much as the Bush administration. He basically called Bush and his administration a bunch of idiots, so that's the main reason he picks on him. Frankly, I have to agree.

I wanted to beat down that republican guy so badly. To me, he came off as an arrogant, moronic, *******. It was like he wasn't even LISTENING to what Jon was saying. I'd love to know what was said during their breaks.
