Not different... BETTER.

Once you start building your strengths and overcoming your weaknesses, you will have no other option but to feel good about yourself because you can see that progress is being made and you start reaping the benefits right away.

Anyone, even the most wretched and broken down person on the face of the earth can benefit from this.

to solve these self-esteem problems, drawing attention to yourself is a temporary solution at best. Ultimately it does nothing to help you, and you come to rely on the attention that other people give you to feel good about yourself. Without it, you feel like oyu have no purpose.

1 - Thank you for backing up my point. You can see, then, that according to you, leaving her to herself has caused her to make the wrong decision. Therefore, she needs the help of others.

2 - Contrary to popular believe, drawing attention to onesself is not necessarily a bad thing. Humans are social beings - we sometimes need attention. We're certainly not going to get it if we just sit in a corner and wait (I think you would also agree with that one. Play aggressive, right?), so she's doing what she can to get the attention.

Anywho, this is all speculative anyway. Her problem may be something entirely different. The information and opinions has been posted, so I suggest the debate on this particular matter stops here.

Find some hobby or sport she's good at and let her win, unless she can already beat you, and just let her destroy you then.

Nothing like success to boost ones confidence.

no, b/c it would make it worse when she finds out that you let her win.

join a school club. honestly it helps a crazy lot. youhave about atleast 5 more people to say hi to in the hall, you feel more confident, you know people. its your turf. stuff like that builds up. same with volunteering or organizing stuff at school or in the community. i know it sounds all happy and disney like but its made my life happier. plus volunterring helps people out so no one loses in this. its wortha try [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] and as her friend, and other friends you should keep reminding her how awesome she is. sometimes a friend saying something billions of times doesnt have the same affect if a certain friend says it.. so if she has any ..'friends' if you know whati mean [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] if they feel that shes a cool person they should let her know

How bad of a liar can you possibly be? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

No, I used that 'letting win' trick more times than I can count. As long as you're good at the lying, it works like a charm.

It's not that she's not active, she's in a bunch of school clubs, and she volunteers, and she has a job...

Then maybe she's depressed

Yup, I completely agree that other people having as little exposure to Pagewizard as possible is the best option.

Sounds like a bunch of boring crap. Teach her spontaneity and do something totally random yet fun with her. If she objects, force her (not physically though).

Honestly though, I don't know how to deal with these problems, because I don't seem to have problems in my life. Everyone else always talks about their problems and how everyone has burdens and problems.... but I really can't think of a single problem I have. Sure there are things that are not ideal, but who cares? Ignore and find something else to fill the hole. If I find myself depressed or lacking in self-esteem due to psychotic paranoia, I just convince myself that the paranoia is a bunch of lies, and that I really am the coolest dude on earth. Apparently this doesn't work for other people or something, I really don't understand why. Maybe I'm just wired differently than everyone else, ever.

Yay.
