My computer stopped working. I lost everything on it. It started freezing up after we put in a new harddrive. So my dad figures that was the problem. So we bought a new hard drive with 160 gigs on it. Holy jeez batman! Our old one had 30 and i couldn't imagine filling that up. It's insane. So yeah... post yours

I only have an 80 gig hooked up rght now. I've been too lazy to reformat the original 40 gigger that came with the computer and throw it in.

12 gig. WAS 160 gig, but that one just died. But not before it caused some real heck. We lost all of our files when it decided to delete some Window files, we fixed it not realizeing that the hard drive was bad, and it died again after a week. PLUS, the warrenty ran out 3 months ago, so we have to buy a whole new hard drive.

Fun times...

Oh yeah, since I had to restart everything, I need to get my spyware protection back up. I had AVG, AdWare (or something extremely close to that. had a window pop up that had a light blue background) and PC bug Doctor. Know where to get those? especially the adware one.

I've got 80 atm, I was looking at another 120, but I think I might just go all out and get 200. Of course, still waiting for my loan to come in...

I read in my student newspaper today that the average student here spends more on alcohol than on all university-related equipment combined. (easily backed up by what I've seen/done). Atleast I can actually use my computer for uni work. Plus - if I wasn't at uni, I'd have a job, and therefore be able to afford it myself.

I got two 250 GB Maxtor HD's.

Oh yes...call me the man...:cool:

So far I've only used 55 GB's on the main one, and 18 GB's on the other...

Second one is mainly for MP3's from my CD's *I convert them all in either 320 kps or 256kps* and storage.

I figure this is enough storage for a long long time. We'll probably only be half full by the time I need to buy a new comp. :)

It's nice though, can install any game I want and not have to worry about space. On old computer I was constantly uninstalling games to make room for new games. Not anymore...not anymore...

40gb Master (Windows XP and Debian Linux)
80gb Slave (Games)

Server:

30gb Master (Windows Server 2003 and ISOs of all my games, to elminate the need for CDs when playing lan games)
160gb Slave (Music, Movies, TV...)

Other 7 desktops:

10gb Master (Windows and whatever games for lan playing)
