Contraversial opinion regarding US elections
2004-10-30, 7:32 AM #1
The actions of America effect everyone. Look at the Iraq crisis.
and Afghanistan!

Basically, I wish that people from other countries, ESPECIALLY America's so called "closest Ally", ie, us, Britain, could have SOME say in the elections.
I believe whether or not that IDIOT Bush remains in power will effect britain and, indeed, the world.

AS u can probably imagine, I want the Democrats/Kerry to win.
Bush represants all that is awful about Americans.
Plus he's an Evangelist. No dice.

I know an American who prefers Kerry but voted for Bush (and no, it wasn't a mistake).

was it bill hicks who said something along the lines of the unsettling feeling of a fundamentalist having his finger on the button screaming "TELL ME WHEN LORD!?!?!?"

Elections suck. we should have a 1000 man battle royal and let the strongest man become pres.
Hazard a company one process.
2004-10-30, 8:15 AM #7
a battle royale between all of america would probablys be a lot fairer and more democratic or something.

Bush really is a complete moron. He's a cheating, lying, theif. I have no respect for him at all. I really don't understand how anyone can vote for him. He's made this country a horrible place, and it makes me sick that people want to re-elect him. clan ruthervain, you speak the truth.

I asked this question before, and I'll ask it again.

Do you think you are better or worse off since Bush has come into office? (and how do you think the country overall is doing?)

I cant friggin belive anyone is buying this war bullcrap. There is no justification for war. There are so many people dieing for no reason! Colin Powell is disgusted, so are many people in the US Army. The death toll is up to 100,000 now is it not? I don't know how Bush can sleep at night, knowing how much of an a**hole he is.

Now you can all call me ignorant, and all hump the crap out of Bush because you love him, I don't care....I know I am right and I know clan is right.
Think while it's still legal.
2004-10-30, 8:23 AM #10
your point is slightly failed though, because every politician is a cheating, lying thief, other than that bush just seems like the kinda guy who enjoys a scrap.
2004-10-30, 8:23 AM #11
Is there a single non-American here who actually likes Bush? One of the many reasons I voted for Kerry (yes, I already voted because I had to send in an absentee ballot because I'm at college and not in my home state) is because Bush is destroying our relations with the rest of the world.
Sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.
2004-10-30, 8:33 AM #12
Nobody likes Bush outside the US, but nobody really likes Kerry either.

A desperate disease requires a dangerous remedy.

A major source of objection to a free economy is precisely that it gives people what they want instead of what a particular group thinks they ought to want. Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.

Bush is cool. At least you know where he stands on an issue.
Kerry flip flops all over the place. IMO, America is in deep s*** if he gets elected.

(Oh and Hellequin, I didn't know America hated Britain and France, good thing you let the rest of the world in on America's secret hatred  )

Sure, but only if the world becomes all under the US. It’s our country. Not yours. We don't want the rest of the world governing us. We have the right to govern our selves. If you want say, join us.

Besides, the less name calling morons who get their entire world view from bumper stickers voting, the better.
2004-10-30, 10:09 AM #28
I think the rest of the countries need to get off their asses and become industrial powerhouse arrogant superpowers, too. So then no one would hate each other.

Many times people of other counteries have a skewed, cartoonish view of the US.
2004-10-30, 10:48 AM #30
The only reason I can see people voting for Bush is if they are devout Republicans, or equally as stupid as him. Which I find very sad considering close to 1/2 the country will be voting for him. I highly doubt Kerry is the best man in America that could be elected for President, but there's no doubt in my mind he'll do better than who's doing the job now.

But yea, not as if it hasn't been said before, but we are literally currently the laughing stock of the world right now. All Americans should take a listen to some of our foreign friends.

That's just more propaganda from Bush.

We actually are having this election monitored by some foreign officials, so it'll hopefully be better than last time.

Nah, don't worry about it. The sane members of congress (read: the republicans) won't let Kerry get away with much. Fortunately we are already overseas so Kerry can't just withdraw our forces. Besides, he says he'll do it all smarter anyway. At best he'll be a one term president unless he manages to successfully ride the wave of Bush's economy for a second term like Clinton did.

Wow, way to be uninformed. You should try reading up on some facts, or even TV for that matter. All the uninformed people at my school say "Kerry Flip Flops, Bush rocks!" when you ask them why they say that they can't reply. Why? Because they don't keep up with politics, they just listen to their parents who most of the time don't know jackcrap either. (or the online cartoons they all see that are JOKES, they use as solid political facts.)

I like how only about 2 people actually answered my question in the thread.

Bush's economy? You are joking right. I can't even....WHAT ECONOMY?! We are in a huge defecit! People are losing jobs, prices for everything is sky rocketing! THE ECONOMY IS CRAP!!!! Clinton was damn good at riding the economical wave, Bush can't even surf.
Think while it's still legal.

A lot of you people who are screaming Bush is an idiot, if you vote for Bush you are an idiot. Well, it makes sense you vote for Kerry because you're a lot like him. Your disgrunted that someone shares another view, so immediately you turn to namecalling to help your insecure and insulted ego that just maybe your opinion isn't the be all end all.
