Your supposed to do it against the wall.
If great moisture is created in the room, the paper might 'stick' to the wall.

But I put it on in no specific way.. it's random.
I'll scrunch or fold.. random again.

Scrunch and underhand (aka toward the wall). In my experience it's easier to tear off a bunch of TP one-handed if you hang it underhand, whereas if you do it overhand, you have to reach over with your other hand and hold the roll to make sure it doesn't slip.

always, away from the wall.... i'm not kiddin this is like my only pet peeve. that is untill i am too lazy to put the next roll on, and then the new roll just sits on top of the cardboard, other than that, i scrunch most of the time.

You know, I actually heard of a couple getting divorced because one did it overhand and the other did it underhand and they couldn't come to an agreement. I highly doubt it's true, but it would be hilarious if it is.

at that point, thay shoule mount 2 seperate rolls to the wall and have the paper facing the opposit ways on them.

Scrunch and away from the wall. Considering the fact that my colon has a massive amount of hair on it, I have to scrunch the toilet paper in order to get the right amount of padding to get past the hair. Folding it would be to thin and uses up more squares than needed...

Fold.

If you scrunch you run the risk of creating a gap or a weak spot, and nobody likes sticky fingers. A good fold guarantees total coverage.
