I want Bush to win, but I am still not feeling very optimistic even though he is ahead atm :\

How many electoral votes are up for grabs in Ohio?
2004-11-02, 9:42 PM #10
Ohio has 20 votes, and so far Bush is winning.
2004-11-02, 9:43 PM #11
I forget now, but if Kerry snags it, he can pretty much win.

Go Clinton! 27 more years!

246-188 for Bush, I don't think 20 votes is going to make much of a difference.

This just in... Bush got ohio.

Very close, though.
2004-11-02, 9:52 PM #16
So if he takes New Mexico, which is likely, he's got it.
2004-11-02, 9:53 PM #17
I'm actually hoping Bush loses NM but wins OH so we have a chance for tie.

CNN hasn't called it. Until they do, I don't believe it.

I got it off of fox.
2004-11-02, 9:55 PM #21
I trust Fox more than CNN...
2004-11-02, 9:56 PM #22
Isn't Fox the network that called Bush's victory in Florida in 2000?

I hate Fox. And not for political reasons. Everyone there just annoys the hell out of me.

I thought CNN called it for Gore in 2000, not sure though.
2004-11-02, 9:58 PM #25
Yeah, CNN did call it for Gore.
2004-11-02, 9:58 PM #26
Virtually EVERYONE screwed up in 2000 calling the election. They aren't taking many chances this time, not from what I've seen.

Fox News is always biased towards Bush. They called it, but NBC, ABC, CBS, and BBC have not. BBC has 246-217 towards Bush, and they have no reason to jump the gun nor be bias towards either candidate.

The Newshour with Jim Leher just called... projected rather, Washington for Kerry.

Bush needs Ohio + New Mexico or Michigan(the two states he is leading in that can put him over the top)

If Alaska had just one more electoral vote, it would all be over if Bush won Ohio because Alaska is decisively Republican.

2004-11-02, 10:06 PM #32
Nope. Ohio's still open.
2004-11-02, 10:08 PM #33
Hehe, Bush has 269. Only needs one more vote :D

FOUR MORE YEARS!!!

Ohio has been called in favor of Bush(though there is a chance that can change). Now Kerry needs to win the rest of the states to tie. If he does that, the vote goes to the House of Representatives and they vote on who wins. Which means Bush wins because Republicans control the House of Representatives. The only way I see for Kerry to win is for a bunch of Democratic votes to pop up in Ohio.

looks like bush will have NM pretty soon...

-_-

If you like the way the country is heading, that's fine. I don't. He might be a great guy, but I think he flat out sucks as a leader and I disagree with him politically on everything.
