Any Democrat who runs to Canada is a coward because he/she is pretty much giving his/her party the finger in doing so.

Haha...

I found it ammusing the line "[Canada] has ... relatively high levels of personal taxation." Sounds like Democrat country to me!

I really do hope though some of the people that said they were going to move to Canada really do. Good riddance for some of them I say...

So...they're moving from a country in which they have the power to change the way the government works...to...a country whose government they can not affect?

Either that or, assuming Bush legislates a draft (which he will have to in order to support his war(s)), they don't want to participate.

But of course, you know, that's not a valid reason at all.

Oh wait, SAJN's going?

****. Okay, yeah, it's wrong, and totally immoral.

If he reinstates the draft, I can gaurentee to you that I will either go to jail, or Canada/Mexico.

I don't believe in dying for a war I don't support.

So wait... all the Democrats are going to move to Canada, which will leave more Republicans behind, and only make it more likely that we'll elect another Republican President next time around? Tell me again how this makes sense?

If the draft's imposed, I'm more than willing to move away.

If they want to go to Canada, fiiiine. They can go.

It's just that their reason is because they're pissed off with the election results and decide to jump ship...

...instead of fighting four years from now to get their candidate back in the White House. Just now they have fewer people to fight. Makes their task harder.

They're self-defeating themselves.

This is why Canada owns you so hard, because no one even knows who our PM is. People only knew Chretien because he had a hilarious face and accent, the new guy is a regular corrupt assclown just like every other politician, and no one even knows he's in office. Ergo, Canada rocks.

Is his name pronounced Cretin? :p

well, people that don't speak french would probably pronounce it like cretin or something very similar.

We have little use for French here in America.

Is this article specific to ontario? Because here in quebec they give you something called a provisionary citizenship. You can live in the province, having the same status as a tourist, until your immigration papers go through, granting you healthcare, the right to vote, and the rest of the package. You could practically move here right away.

I'd be surprised if ontario didn't have something similar.
The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

Page, there is no use for French the the rest of Canada either but people still didn't go around calling him Cretin. They just pronounced his name with a bit of an accent but didn't mock his name ignorantly.

Do you weirdos actually think that things are so bad here in America that it's worth moving to Canada, simply because more people there agree with your point of view? I really think that some of you need to grow up and stop being so extreme. Things may not be exactly the way that you want them, but they're quite good, and far better than what you'd have to put up with in many countries. Quit being sore losers, keep your chin up, and move on. Better luck next time. I voted for Nader, who received virtually no votes, and you don't see me going anywhere. That has something to do with me not being an overgrown baby. No offense.

Listen! We don't want you stinkin Amercian imegrants entering our country and steal good hard working Canadian's jobs okay? Stay where you are ffs and get over this crap cause guess what? We don't want you.

Yeah but the point is that things are better in Canada. :p

Joking aside, I kind of agree with MW. We've got a lousy premier here in Québec but I'm not threatening to move to any other provinces. I'm going to manifest against him the 10th. :p

Which is what you Kerry-supporters should be doing. Manifesting in front of the White House, getting your ideas across. Write songs and get them played on local radio. Get whatever you want to say out. Make people think.

Just don't come here. We don't want you :p

Nothing against Canada, I'm sure it's a great country, and if people truly think they'd enjoy it more there, they should go, but moving because your guy didn't get elected only shows that you obviously didn't like it much here in the first place. If you don't respect our constitution, our government, our president, or the other half of the nation (the people who voted for Bush), I don't see how you've lasted this long. No nation is perfect, but this nation is great, in many ways, despite who the president is, and I think some of you are just being foolish.

wolfy, i love you man and youre a very intelligent well rounded person usually but do a little research on the canadian government before you go on saying the canadian government cannot be affected. and if you meant that as immigrants they cant affect change, well thats wrong too.
