I think mine is returning to where I am now in 40 years. I'm scared that this amazing house, this HOME I live in now will be changed to be unrecognizable, and that I couldn't experience the feelings that I do now. Man, what an amazing time I spent, and hope to keep spending here.

The same goes for people. I'm scared to death that in 40 years, I'll bump into a guy on the street who is now a great friend or something, and that it won't be the same. The interaction would from third person be great, but we'd both feel that it isn't the same.

Anyways, post yours! Spiders, heights, ... doesn't need to be so deep as mine (I think I really put myself up naked here)... it can be though.

Dying, or permanently losing conscience (same thing).

The only way I see myself dying happy is if I slowly lose my mind and die while I'm insane, if I get some brain trauma that causes me to lose my memory and someone manages to convert me to christianity or something. I'd need some serious brain damage for that last one, because I don't think anyone could survive an attempt at converting me.

I guess I kind of fear being lonely- not being alone, but being with people, but unable to connect with them (kind of like Tenshu's fear)- but I don't let that fear dominate my actions.

Heights (to the point that i get palms drenched in sweat when going on an escalator) and closed-in spaces (or crowded places like a mall food court at lunch time).

Combine a fear of closed-in spaces and a fear of heights and you'll also understand why I need to pop a few Tylenols or Benadryl before going on an airplane.

I wouldn't describe it as a fear exactly, but I would feel as though my life had been wasted if I died without being of some benefit to people other than myself and my family.
