I don't really follow release dates closely... I have bought half life 2, but honest have no clue when its out.. I know it was sometime around halo 2.
Then I was disapointed :( Still have to wait.

I did say that (I haven't learned much about these two games/Maybe I'm wrong), so what's your point?
People get excited about the games without trying them out as well.


From what I've read about both Halo and Halo 2, they sound like they have the same gameplay as Doom. If Half-Life 2 is like the first Half-Life, then it's not something to get excited about.

Is there actually some quality about these games I've not learned about, that isn't the high-budget graphics and clever marketing campaign?

Continuation of storyline? New weapons and multiplayer experiences? New, even more fun ways to kill your friends and rub their faces in it?
