the hud is awesome. it brings back the good old HL days. i dont want some mechanical bio status thing like most every other game does... this is something different, but its not really new. retro i guess.

Gordon is wearing the same HEV suit as was in Half-Life, so the HUD is the same. Makes sense :)

My final 3 entries... ignore my second one above. I thought it was a good concept, but it was a screenshot of an area you weren't meant to see in the game, thus, the floating citadel and cords ending in midair...

So far we have a single correct entry, with SAJN and Sol having partial entrys. You need to make your shots 640x480 as well as the full shot linked. Currently, there are 3 entire submissions. Anyone who submitted a joke, or pretty much the first half of the first page will have to resubmit.

Noble_Outlaw, as only a suggestion, you might want to look on the first page, as Thrawn[numbers] gave console commands to remove the hud and weapon from view. If you'd like to resubmit, just edit your previous post.

Who said that was the point of the game? Of course you don't play shooters to take pictures. but as technology improves, things look more realistic and artistic.. you must have no sense of art in you.

I never said it was the point, it's just usually I'm to busy playing the game to take screenshots.

they could have jumped off the troop transport box that the flying gunship thing holds on to. it would actually make more sense for the people down there to not be able to get up, cause enemies are far more screwed down there.

I wasn't. all my entires were taken while i was playing. a lack of quality, yes, and why i have the HUD, but still they're decent pics.

Take your screenshots with maximum AA and AF, they will look so much more real. They're even in the game menu.
