She doesn't have any significance in the previous MGSs.

My only rant about the game is the "The end" fight. I spent well over an hour trying to drain his stamina so I could pick up the camo he leaves behind.

I didnt really do a lot of sneaking in this game.. though im sure i missed alot. i going to replay the game with a printed out faq and get every item and every secret. I skipped the End boss fight. you can shoot him with the sniper rifle right after the cut scene that takes placein the exterior of the warehouse.

Depending on what difficulty you plan on, especially easy or maybe even normal, you can run and gun through the game. On Hard, you ahve to take your time and be patient.

mscbuck, How do I get past the The Sorrow? I know you told me last night I am supposed to die, and I did die, and it wouldn't let me get through. I went under water to drown myself and hit continue and it didn't work. I went and hit exit and it didn't work. Do I have to die by him when he launches that dimensional tenticle at me?
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

Take the revival pill! I only gave you the "make sure to die" hint, but I defintly wouldn't tell you how to fully beat him. That spoils all the fun!

rented it, just beat it like 20 min... took 20 hours.

it was awesome! Defintly loved the game, much better then MGS2. The scene from the trailer at E3 where Volgin grabs the raidon guy's nuts finally made sense!

The game does tie up some loose ends about the patriots...but not enough... in MGS2... didn't otacon and snake discover that the orginal members died over a hundred years ago? in the SE they said they died or disbanded in the 30's... thats only about 80 years... I was under the impression that the Patriots were a more sinister force controling the government.... how do these dead folks suddnly make the president into a puppet in SOL?

There had better be another game that expalins the patriots better...

I beat it this morning (3:30am, who needs sleep?). It's quite good. It took me 19.5 hours.

The gameplay is great, and the story is on par with the convoluted, mixed-up story of the previous games. My only gripes are that the areas and bosses aren't very memorable (most of them are only encountered once or twice), and that it doesn't answer very many of the questions I had from MGS:2 (although it does explain who The Patriots are, but not the La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo bit).

]-[ellequin, I'm pretty sure the La-li-Lu-Le-Lo is just another word for the patriots.

but they make refrences to the patriots several times, most notibly when snake meets EVA.... but the patriots didn't offcialy become the patriots until some times after the events of the game.... ala the timeline thing at the end of the game.

also... wanna bet that Signit becomes the DARPA cheif in MGS

Could be that the game takes place 20 years in the future, thus making 1930s 100 years ago.

Shadow moses(MGS) takess place in 2004 (pretty sure)

the tanker incident(MGS:SOL) is 4 years later, the big shell(MGS:SOL) 2 years after that, making SOL take place in 2010...

I donno, From the story that the president tells raiden, I always figured the patriots were the founding fathers, or the founding fathers were manipulated by the patriots.

I just beat it. Took me only 1 death (ran out of time) to defeat The Boss. I used the rocket launcher to track her movements and hid behind a fallen tree stub. I defeated her with the tranq gun and got the Snake suit as a result. Now I gotta go back and see what else I can get. It took me less than 18 hours.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

Ok, the funniest thing happened yesterday with Signit.

Call Singit while wearing no shirt

Then call him with the zombie camo

Then call while inside the box(the best one)

-"Hey, Is there anyway i can take off my pants too?"
-"Oh, Hell No!"
